LYNN VALLEY CARE CENTRE

I worked there for 4 years before I had to move for family reasons. It is such a nice place to work compared with other places I have been (including my present job). The staff are xaring and kind and the management really care and set very high standards. New staff who want an easy job and not want to work hard do not last long. They expect you to be committed and hard-working. I learned a lot when I was there. They had a hard time during covid, like so many places, but everybody pulled together and the managers led from the front. Even the bosses were working on the floors when Covid was in the home. It was inspiring. If I ever move back to Vancouver, I would work there again for sure.

It is a privilege to be part of the team at LVCC. Staff at LVCC are amazing and very supportive to work with. The Administrative and our ADOC and the rest of management team from the top to the bottom are wonderful to be around them, to learn, and advance your career.  RCA’s, laundry , kitchen, and housekeeping are always ready to help, very dedicated , and very proud of what they do. I would call myself a very lucky person to work at LVCC.

The residents and staff there are amazing. It’s Managment that’s the problem. There are a couple of bullies upstairs that work work together, neither of them are sure of what they are doing. Instead of supporting their nurses they add more work and never ask if they can help you with anything. They are not transparent or honest. If Managment changes, it has potential to be a great place to work.

This place is horrible. I worked here for 4 years and management turn around was every 6 months. A new manager would come in and want to “do things their way” to shake things up and it ended up doing far worse than good. They would leave and a new manager would come in and repeat the process. 

Management doesn’t care about their employees.

everyday were typical day for me as it was the same routine.

Hardest part of my job if there is an incident happen for more than one client in the same time..burn out
I enjoy to be with my client as they are like my family

Working at Lynn Valley Care Center as a fire safety officer is a great experience. Training staff about fire emergency procedures is a fun thing. This way I am able to work with different people from different fields which is helping me to gain a great experience.

This place is not a pleasant place to work management to workers they are mean and bully and pay you minimum wage but the work is triple heavy job, never recommended place to work. If you speak out they will do make you work more and they treat you like a slave.

this is awesome work place and some people give coverage. 
they give also schedules and i would like to go back there.it is a good  resident-focused long term care facility. they demonstrate a positive work ethic, a passion for working with long term...

Good environment to work with, clean and friendly atmosphere , fantastic work place, hard working team players , awesome company

I learned a lot from working at the Lynn Valley Care Center. I am very grateful to the whole team. I was able to develop new techniques and develop great experiences.
