Lake Louise Inn

I had an amazing experience working at the Lake Louise Inn, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a supportive and rewarding workplace.

A typical day at work was busy, productive, and engaging. My role involved publishing the hotel's monthly newsletter "Inn the Loop," maintaining stationery and office supplies, assisting with hotel communications, creating menus, posters, presentations, decorations, and graphic designs, updating social media platforms, managing gift certificates, and supporting recognition programs and employee events. I also assisted other departments including Front Desk, Laundry, Housekeeping, and Legends Restaurant whenever operational support was needed.

One thing I truly appreciated was the opportunity to learn and grow. I was not very experienced with Canva and graphic design at first, but I was given the opportunity to learn and improve my creativity skills. Over time, I became confident in creating detailed menus, posters, newsletters, promotional materials, and decorations for events and activities around the hotel. I also learned multitasking, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, organization, and how to adapt in a fast-paced hospitality environment. I am grateful that I became versatile and gained experience in administration, front desk operations, serving, laundry support, and creative event decoration.

The leadership team is truly exceptional. The Area Director & General Manager, Nuwan, is an inspiring and highly experienced leader who is supportive, approachable, and always willing to listen and help with problem-solving - He ensures everything is going well and staff are comfortable while discharging their duties diligently. The Director of HR, Teagen, is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, supportive, and always makes staff feel heard and valued. Dominic, the Hotel Manager, ensures the hotel operates smoothly and efficiently. He has great empathy, hardworking, approachable, and always focused on providing excellent service - his dedication is truly top-notch. Nicolas, the Financial Controller, is another wonderful leader - my direct boss, he's supportive, versatile, professional, and genuinely kind. Executive Chef Joseph is also highly experienced, approachable, and maintains a friendly and professional kitchen environment.

The workplace culture is diverse, welcoming, and inclusive. Everyone is treated equally and with respect, and management genuinely listens to staff concerns and feedback, creating a very comfortable environment to work in.

There wasn't anything I would describe as hard. The fast-paced and varied responsibilities were a great opportunity to learn, grow, and become more confident in handling multiple tasks across different departments. It was a great way to handle challenges, build resilience, and develop stronger skills in multitasking, communication, and adaptability, all of which contributed to my overall growth and experience.

The most enjoyable parts of the job were the supportive management team, staff appreciation, recognition programs, team outings, staff BBQs, food truck days, Christmas and year-end parties, and the positive atmosphere among staff members, etc...
The staff meals were great with multiple options to choose from, and the accommodations were spacious, clean, and well furnished - loved it.

One very special part of my experience was Zoey, the office dog, who is an absolute delight - calm, sweet, friendly, and very well trained. I never used to be much of a dog person before, but after meeting Zoey, I truly grew to love dogs. I will especially miss her so much and the joy she brought to the workplace every day.

I genuinely loved my time at Lake Louise Inn and would have stayed longer if I did not need to relocate to Calgary to join my family. I am truly grateful for the experience, the people, and the memories I made here.


Mornings begin with meetings with the sales and operations team. Throughout the day, our small sales team coordinates with other departments for expected groups such as corporations, associations, and weddings. We cater to all group shapes and sizes from exclusive venue space with daily catering and overnight stays. 

My role has been a constant learning experience, and I’ve developed a deep understanding of the hotel industry. Additionally, managing a team has enhanced my leadership skills, teaching me the delicate balance between motivation and guidance. The management team's commitment to a positive and growth-oriented work environment is evident through open communication and regular feedback sessions.

Teamwork is at the core of our success, contributing to a vibrant and energetic workplace. Creativity and innovation encourage the team to explore new daily strategies to enhance the guest experience. Committing to diversity and inclusion creates an environment where everyone feels valued and appreciated.

Navigating working from home for the first time in my career was an adjustment. Finding the right balance in ensuring I was on-site to support the team took some time, but I think I got there. It’s also always great to catch up with other departments in person.  

One of the most enjoyable and rewarding parts of my job is welcoming clients from Canada and internationally to the beautiful village of Lake Louise. Our staff continues to impress clients and guests with delectable cuisine and various hotel rooms to cater to any guest. Receiving words of thanks and gratitude makes me feel so proud to work for the Lake Louise Inn. 

I had the good fortune of working at the Lake Louise Inn in a senior manager capacity. The resort has over 200 keys, 3 F&B Outlets and substantial meeting space. 

For a serious Hospitality Professional, I highly recommend the Lake Louise Inn, the resort offers an opportunity for one to showcase her/his skills. 

I must say though that one must be very resilient and see things as opportunities rather than obstacles  to fully enjoy a leadership position at this property.

E.g. It is a fact that the workforce in the Rockies is dynamic and ever evolving.

To enjoy working at the Inn, one must view the fact stated above as an opportunity to foster talent and to help people learn life skills vs negatively seeing the situation. 

With the right attitude, professionalism (and intelligence naturally)  growth opportunities are endless at the Inn and within Atlific Hotels.

I can't praise the workplace enough, I came back for a second summer season, I loved it so much. It's a small town but the people make it a great sense of community. A ridiculously friendly, international team, very welcoming to all. The management are great, they really try hard to give you the work/life balance your looking for with a seasonal Job. You meet everybody in the team, their isn't a huge sense of hierarchy where upper management feels unapproachable (most work places!)  Everybody at Lake Louise is so approachable and it feels like a safe place to work. They work hard to bring staff events and perks for the team, they have a great staff café benefit along with newly renovated staff accommodation. The regional manager even accommodated a transfer to their sister hotel so we could complete a winter season in Whistler (a dream of mine) and took us back the following summer. 

I'll always remember my first day, being introduced to the entire team at Lake Louise Inn along with a show around of the resort, even just starting as a housekeeper. I'd never experienced that in a workplace before. They're always looking for ways to accommodate and improve 

Workplace is NOTORIOUS for judgement, especially when it comes to duty managers who are without a doubt very arrogant. I have witnessed a lot of discrimination in the workplace. Working in the tourism industry, you would expect staff to be non-judgemental, however I often heard some bickering about race and culture, again mostly within the managers. 
Staff (management) are not as supportive as you would expect, give very poor training and if you don’t quite fit the duty managers agenda, they will throw you under the bus and leave you behind, instead of helping you, they will talk bad amongst each other. All in all, duty managers are not qualified professionals. 
Staff accommodations are either a hit or miss, if you are outgoing, talkative and love meeting new people, you should not have any issues with settling into your accommodation, most roommates are young, early 20’s. Very respectful and mostly clean. 
The only part I enjoyed were sightseeing and days off to explore. The workplace is nothing without the scenery. 


I had the privilege of working at Lake Louise Inn for just over seven years, and it has truly been an incredible experience. Collaborating with such a dedicated and talented team has made every day a memorable adventure.

LLI has felt like a second home, and each team member has become like family to me. Reflecting on my time here fills me with pride for all we’ve accomplished together. I am immensely grateful for the support, guidance, and feedback I’ve received throughout the years.

I also had the honor of working alongside a fantastic mentor and leader who has become a good friend. LLI is an excellent place for anyone looking to start or advance their career in the hospitality industry, offering great growth opportunities, competitive salary and benefits, as well as well-managed staff accommodations.

This has been one of the best places I’ve worked in Canada, and I want to thank the Lake Louise Inn team for everything. I wish you all the best for the future!

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to grow in a role where I had less or I'd rather say no experience at all. The company recognized my potential and provided a supportive environment to further develop my skills.  Working at Lake Louise Inn, I have the opportunity to engage daily with diverse guests and an international team, which enriches my role with cultural variety and dynamic interactions. The Inn also invested in professional growth by supporting both my manager and I at HR seminars in Calgary, deepening our understanding and more equipped on our role. I’m thankful for the trust and opportunities Lake Louise Inn has given me to thrive and contribute to a vibrant team. I can call it our second home. I will continue to do my best in my role and to be a team player. Highly recommend this workplace for those seeking growth and a unique, rewarding experience. 

I enjoyed working for LLI just for the employees and work. The other workers are amazing to work with, it’s a fun environment and any job there is not hard at all. 

Although I would highly recommend for anyone to work here, I would suggest keeping yourself away from management. This was a few years ago now so i’m sure HR has changed but it seemed most managers were just power trips who took their personal lives out on people that was slightly related to it. When approaching HR for help, it resulted in them turning their back on their employees and evening terminating them for wrong causes. 

Other than that, it’s a fun, easy and great place to work!! plus staff accommodations are amazing. 

Overall, The Lake Louise Inn has very friendly staff and management. Could definitely use a new operating system(Currently Opera)which makes check-in quite slow and prolonged. All 3 outlets for Food and Beverage is funominal and well priced.. Renovations so far are looking very much improved, but they should be focusing on renovations to guests rooms instead of The Lobby or Restaurants carpeting. Overall, Awesome customer service ethics put into place and would most definitely work there again!!

Working at Lake Louise Inn was pretty great, the job itself was easy to do but during the busy seasons it can be overwhelming, the coworkers were friendly and willing to help get the job done, the supervisors can be very supportive and understanding if you are having problems, and the hotel managers would show there appreciation by having a staff BBQ and staff party's. Also, the staff cafeteria would serve food at lunch and supper.
