Lallemand

I worked for Lallemand for three years, and overall it was a positive experience. The company provided great benefits and competitive compensation, and the management team was generally supportive and responsive to employee needs.

However, there were a few areas where the company could improve. Communication could be inconsistent at times, with important updates and changes not always being clearly communicated to all employees. Additionally, the workload could be overwhelming at times.

Despite these challenges, I appreciated the company's commitment to fostering a positive work culture and investing in employee development. The team-building activities and training opportunities helped me grow both personally and professionally.

You get hired, there is no formation, you use makeshift tools and there is almost no established standards. (More of a "try to wing it and make it work" mentality).
It is more of a "Do it and don't think" type of environment.
Micromanagement, they can also remove employee perks without notice.
Makes you feel like a number, the human factor is nowhere to be found.
Management is mostly unhelpful, basically on your own on day 1.
Benefits seems good but the insurance is always trying not to pay.
Salary is not competitive with basic inflation of cost of life. 
A good 9¢ salary raise after a year.

Very bright people to learn from. Great for recent grads at undergraduate and graduate level. You learn a lot about biotech and no prior cooperate experience is required. Very dynamic and fast paced work environment. 

Low pay. It may not be a good place to stay long term depending on the department. Scientists can get laid off at any time. Very little room for growth. The workload and a lot of politics higher up make work stressful.

Worked here for some time, and I had a great time while I was there. Cut short because their mentality is hiring less people to do the work of say 5 people,

The people I worked with were great, and they made it worth it. But Lallemand and those in charge are the scummiest people I have ever seen. 

Unless you're French Canadian then they love you, and not always even then.

Lallemand will screw you over to achieve a higher goal, don't bother with these people.

Lallemand is an excellent organization to learn and enjoy your day-to-day. Co workers are great and always willing to share their knowledge. They offer a great work-life balance with flexible schedule. 

Excellent coworkers and highly skilled work force. Large organization, but senior leadership team remains accessible. Great opportunity to work with different people from different levels. Career development opportunities. Good benefits. Good location. 

The company has a great environment. Working there is fun and schedule is flexible. The most important thing is that they offer travel and networking opportunities.

small company with many plants, have no rules, narrow mentality, there should be warning that you need improvement or you did some mistake, you will come to know today is your last day

I was essentially lied to as a new employee  in the company.  They liked to say they wanted any and all contributions, but basically ignored cost saving measures staring them in the face.  Very wasteful processes.
