The 2 owners are exceptional and intelligent people. Which baffles my mind as to the challenges they not only let happen, but instigate themselves. The company is growing, fast. Faster than they can keep up with. They play favorites with the departments, and roles, and and always seem to be in panic mode. Inconsistent directions, rampant favoritism, no actual training, and a gossip strong organization. The wages are random, based on nothing concrete and therefore unfair. The Core values are shared and promoted- but only utilized when it fits a narrative, basically when it suits the management. (They don't have to adhere to core values) Which is too bad, they have good bones, the start of a great structure, if only they would get out of their own micromangement ways. They might just be able to keep people to grow and develop. I really wish them the best of luck, they have some amazing people working there.



I’ve been lucky to have seen the growth that landform has had from 2006 till now. It’s been continually growing, evolving and has been one of the most stable parts of of my life, through the recessions to pandemics, we’ve been able to continuously come together as a team, push through the challenges and come out with professional outcome each time!
I’ve tried a few different career choices, the versatility of the work and the variety of tools and equipment we get to use is always progressing and challenging with a huge reward and happy clients at the end of the project. 
If it’s for a summer, year or a career, the skills you can learn here will transfer over to every day life for future DIY projects or family friends in need!
Outside every day is a very is huge benefit for me, rain or shine with the proper gear and preparation in combination with amazing people it’s great way to spend the days. 

The wage was pretty good, but it was misleading. I found out my wage was lower than someone who had less experience, so it made me pretty angry. The work schedule was fair...we worked 8 - 10 hour days on average, 5 days a week. We never worked weekends and got holidays off. The owner was amazing; he cared for his employees and treated everyone fairly. He gave credit where it was due and recognized skill. The foreman, however, was an absolute jerk. He drove everyone insane...it was pretty much his way or the highway. He was extremely rude and inconsiderate and worked the labourers way too hard. My coworkers were pretty good for the most part; a few had very bad attitudes and it wasn't fun working with them. Overall, a pretty good company if you're with the right people.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The people and management are the best part of the company, the senior management actually care and want to see the employees and the company succeed 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Landscaping being a seasonal industry means that there are specific times of the year with more work/deadlines than others. However it's management and nothing that you wouldn't expect in this line of work. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Great, employees communicate well, senior management has open doors and encourages communication with any concerns or feedback. Regular company events, and clear and transparent career pathing makes promotions and wage increases fair.

Every day began with everyone meeting at the work trailer and discussing what the job was to be completed today. We also had to identify all the dangers on site and making sure we all had PPE.
the job was very interactive, at times it was very labour intensive and was stressful to some employees but in the end, the job had to get done.
Depending on which foreman you worked with that day was an indicator if you were going to have a good or bad day as some of the foreman were tough on the employees.

I have personally spent the duration of my career working in a very fast paced environment.  Although Landform is not with out its challenges. The work environment is easy, people work with you not against, I have not experienced animosity or inner company drama. Management is always keen to hear and discuss ideas. They believe in running an efficient company so they do not over work their employees the same way other companies do. Hard work is recognized with gratitude. 

Unless management has changed in the last few years, I would not suggest not working for this company. They praise the "family" work environment but this is an extremely toxic place to work. They like to blow smoke up people and make their employees think they are appreciated when they are talked about behind others backs. You will not advance in any role and if you do you will not get paid close to the industry standard. You might a few good coworkers along the way but the managers and foreman are not professional at all. 

Overall I would say landform is an ok place, the work and the pay definitely balance themselves out depending on your position, the people are ok to work with if you’re put on the right crew. Worst part is the communication and promises that are made, they definitely care about the all mighty dollar and having new equipment more than good reliable workers. So if you’re looking to be full time year round work and steady employment I’d look elsewhere

This is a fantastic place to work. If you want to be a laborer, truck driver, equipment operator, foreman, manager or take on a roll in the office with our already amazing team you will be supported the whole way. The work Landform does is satisfying in that it serves a purpose to the public. The team that Landform has assembled to do so is knowledgeable, fun, supportive and committed.  I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a solid foundation to build a career on. 

Working at Landform provided me with an incredible opportunity to learn about hard-work and the monetary reward associated. I believe I was paid very fairly in my summer of working there, and i would absolutely recommend working there for anyone with enough drive to do hard work and truly care about the work you are doing.
