More so than any other job or internship I’ve ever had, working in a restaurant throws you into a very intense community of people. When the restaurant is in the weeds and everyone rallies together and manages to rock service without any of the patrons guessing something is off, well, that just feels awesome. Once I started working at Lazeez as a cashie, it allowed me to learn more about cash transactions and improved my customer service, when taking orders or answering the phone calls. Things get heated, you need to think on your feet, and you need to smile the entire time – it can be a draining job, but the things you learn and the people you meet are worth your time. I learned how to gracefully deal with unpleasant people.This holds true whether it’s the people you work with or the customers themselves. You are going to have to deal with people who are rather unpleasant if you work in a restaurant.You do it with a smile and you have to think of a solution, even if it’s the last thing you want to do. I learned how to multitask like a mad woman. Working at a restaurant is all about multitasking. In any given minute, you could take someone’s order, fold a napkin, direct someone to the bathroom, pour more water, and talk to the chef about a guest’s dietary restrictions.

Typical day at work includes serving customers, cleaning as well as organizing product in the coolers and fridges. Can be very fast pased at times, I learned how to chop vegetables, cut chicken off the rotisserie, learned customer service skills. How to manage time better. The management doesn't pay attention, Very cultural work enviorment. The hardest part of the job was the long hours, most days 8+ hours. The most enjoyable part of the job was learning new skills aswell as the free food.

you don't get enough shifts less pay more work

Just work a Day and you will be knowing the work environment and the culture of this company

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Having less Hours of Shifts and had a lot of Responsibilities of the day to complete

Worst experience ever. Would recommend to a person. who is willing to work like a robot. No clarity in scheduling the staff. Zero job culture and zero benefits.  In addition to it zero job security and no advancement. 

this is genuinely the worst place to work at especially if you are hired to work in the back. I am almost always in tears by the end of my shift. it’s dirty and disgusting and management sucks, they don’t listen to you and they choose to blame you constantly for things you haven’t even done. stay away, you don’t need this.

i learnt how to manage a team and go through a shift with no issues or complains, learnt how to deal with costumers and make sure they are satisfied. managed to open and close the store and the end of day cash

Working was fun and fulfilling. Management was understanding of individual needs and were respectful of our personal lives. Workers were respectful and fun to work with as well.

Get the chance to have interaction with people . Always enthusiastic to serve customers and made  orders as per their requirement. Always take care of the cleaning in the restaurant . 

This workplace was a fun environment because if the staff working however, it gets so busy forcing you to be more organized and take responsibility for your mistakes - which sometimes are not your fault because of how busy it is.

The work culture here is toxic, overburden with responsibility and poor behaviour from owners. They do not appreciate loyalty and constantly hire new employees with less pay and get rid of old staff by calling them worthless.
