Les Marches Tau

Marches Tau is a great place to work. The company and coworkers are amazing. It's retail, so some customers can be challenging, but this is true of every retail place. Most customers are gems. There's always work to do, so it's never dull. The company is respectful, and our store director is amazing to work with. Coworkers are friendly and helpful. It's really a team effort environment. It is retail, so open 7 days a week, so be prepared to work at least one weekend day and at least one closing shift. Salary is in keeping with the position and if you work well, raises are comparable to your effort. If you want to be appreciated, feel like you make a difference, and enjoy showing up everyday, this is the place to be. 

I worked at the head office and I have learned a lot on health products. I love the fact that I have met many people (customers, colleagues & suppliers) from different background. Management was not transparent and it was hard to know their thoughts about an employee, which didn’t help to give a chance to that employee to improve. A lot of favouritism culture that I had witnessed. Employee discount was not that interesting and there is no recognition and a lot of injustice about salary. Negotiate well at the beginning and don’t waist your time waiting for a raise, even when they promised you. I saw a lot that had been promised a raise but never got it… 

When i applied for a supervisor position i was told i would not get the job because i had children. Even though i was already doing all of the tasks of said position and more. I even trained managers memorized all ccodes and protocol and was the "go to" person for help by co workers and management.The job was given to a new employee who the manager said had no experience in supervision and no children. He also claimed i was not available 24/7 but on my availability was written 24/7 and i was full time.Also i worked 9 hours a day and was supposed to have 1h breaks for lunch. We were told we were not allowed to have 1h but every other employee got that benefit.

A typical day of work consists of unloading the pallets, tagging all the items and then stocking them in the front while interacting with customers and answering their questions.
At Marchés Tau, I learned how to use a cash, how to better interact with strangers, how to stock shelves and a lot about food in general.
The management isn't too bad as they are easy going people so long you do your work.
Most of my co-workers were young and around my age which made the working environment very pleasurable.
There wasn't anything really hard about this job,
The best part about it though was getting to interact with different people everyday.

Upper management has no idea on how to run a business of this size, and on top of that, they are rude and disrespectful amatuers in way over their heads. The pay is laughable and everyone who leaves has to chase their final pay and paperwork, sometimes for months! You can do the same work at any traditional supermarket for more money and better treatment. I'd be willing to bet that every positive review on this is from upper management because nobody leaves this place happy. Oh, and they stalk your personal social media pages looking for things to use against you.

Huge lack of communication between upper and lower management. No fixed trainings for any department. Hours get cut constantly. Head office are completely out of touch with how bad the situation is in the store itself. Store is dirty, dusty, and mold-ridden. Lack of advancement and lots of favoritism. Pay is laughable for the amount of work they ask of their employees. Out of control stock rooms and freezers with expired items being resold to customers in the bistro kitchen. 

Place is terrible
Management is horrible and needs to take some courses on how to deal with employees and talk to them
They demoralise you, play favourites
Min training yet everything you do is wrong
They do not give you the tool or resources to do your job
They threaten to fire you, treat your like garbage. They have no people skills 
The list goes on
They pay employees min wage but treat you with total disrespect 

Horribe!! I have a learning disability and they treat you like garbage, they dont take you seriously, managment likes to play favourites. They dont train you they expect you to know everything without proper help and support. This job can really be demotivating as much effort or hardwork you put they find a way to ruin you

The managers have nothing better to do but to check your every move. They will find anything they believe you've done wrong and will fire you. They have favorites and there's too many rules and responsabilities when it's only a cashier job position.

Was passed over for a promotion because the other person was sleeping with Management. I was there to do a job not to party and that was all the kitchen was a party area
