Lester B Pearson High School

Looked after all the students records for the entire school.  Kept all records up to date and filed.  
I reported directly to the Guidance Counsellors and head of the dept.
My co-workers were fun people to be with.
The job was not difficult, but at times people would try to get into the school who did not live in the area and therefore needed to be investigated.
The most enjoyable part was getting to know the students as they would come into the office.

Lester B. Pearson High School is very large. The management is decent considering the size of the school and what they have to deal with on a regular basis. However, the staff really shines through. If the administration is absent or becomes incompetent, the teachers are very well experienced and work very well with others that they can sustain the school without managerial leadership.

The staff and administrators will make you feel welcome. They are very supportive. Willing to accommodate you in anyway possible. The job atmosphere is warm and friendly. 


I worked there as a shadow teacher for Autism child to prevent him from making wrong movement, which means it could hurt him. I learned how to be a help guide

Working in a high school, each day brings something new. I enjoy the job, it is rewarding to help students achieve their goals and it's a team effort.

I volunteered at my old high school where we had to serve other students breakfast if they were unable to eat it at home. We provided everything from food to drinks.

I worked a few lunch hours during school days in the cafeteria at Lester B Pearson high school. I was given a lunch that was made by the students for my hard work every lunch hour..

LBPHS supports all students to achieve. The timetable allows students to make decisions about their learning and the staff is very student centred.
Great place to work!

Pearson is a large Calgary high school part of the Calgary Board of Education. It is a multicultural school with great kids and staff. I would recommend working there.

Though I only worked as a minor official for a year and only for woman's basketball, it was fun to work for and I'm glad it was an opportunity I was given.
