You have to pick orders of frozen food/ice cream. You get one day of training and you have to use an ancient voice picking headset that will cause errors for you because a) it's old AF b) the overhead fans will muffle the sound of your voice so it misinterprets what you're saying.

The night managers will be of absolutely no help to you whatsoever and the union rep is even worse because he is too busy trying to become a manager. The workers are great and are very helpful, mostly all of them want you to succeed and will give you useful tips. This is more than management will ever do for you.

They do not take safety seriously here. The staging areas in some of the freezers are overloaded so they just stage pallets in the picking aisles , these aisles are already much more narrow than the ice cream aisles so imagine trying to pick orders with pallets dropped there, and good luck picking product from a location if pallets have been staged in front of it, you'll have to squeeze between them.  There is always debris and broken wood in the aisles , which can easily lead to slips . Again, I can't reiterate this enough, the managers here are terrible. Especially the really short one on nights that's tries painfully hard to be cool. Please avoid the toxic environment here it's absolutely not worth it. 

Since the company went public, the culture has tanked. They claimed that business was slow so they laid off a bunch of people, and were micromanaging hours to the extent that the VP was telling people to clock out five minutes early instead of waiting for the shift to end. 

Meanwhile, the little remaining staff was being worked to death to get the work done, and they were having to turn trucks away because they didn’t get the orders picked in time. 

There is no on site HR or IT support, in emergencies they relied on computer savvy staff from other departments to be the onsite contact for IT. 

The internal vacation tracking system just didn’t work for Canada, so it had to be tracked on a spreadsheet, which inspires a lot of confidence. I’m pretty sure I was owed vacation time when I left, but with no functional system to verify, it’s their word against mine and you know how that goes.

The actual workers and middle management are mostly good people, but once you get above the site specific people, the integrity and ethics disappear.



my dat at work consisted of repiling anywhere from 500 to 5000 boxes of product. i also worked in pressing room which consisted of pouring  anywhere  from 600 to1200 hundred boxes of product in big barrels then cleaning the  processing room afterwards. i enjoyed working with the peopled i worked with everyday but i didnt enjoy going to another building and do other peoples cleaning. i also didnt like the management upstairs as they seemed to me only being interested in making the company money and not the employees who are doing all the work and what they need to do their jobs more effectively but again this is my opinion . also you have to like working in a cold enviroment if you dont thit isnt the place for you.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There's really isn't anything great about working here.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The lack of safety, the lack of training, the fact that once they hit the slow season they just cut almost all their workers hours in  half until they quit.  And then they just bring in a bunch new temps in when it gets busy  again.  They really don't value their employees.  At least at the location I worked at.  (Woodstock ontario) 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is scary.  They put product that is over weight in to the racking, thee is a culture of causing damages,  people line up to the racking by hitting it causing more damages.

its a self employed biz

prepare according to orders to be picked/packed/shipped/delivered and or accepted for third parties/
document accordingly BL/Shipping doc /PODs ... 
prepare route plans and execute accordingly
prepare invoices and collection/banking schedule 
check inventories .
learned that Customer behaviour / service is an important aspect which is  never limited 
co-workers can be good  and /or "grumpy' 
It was challenging to delivery on time/schedule in unexpected traffic and weather conditions 

Most enjoyable to observe customers smacking their lips in appreciation  of the Good  service/s Offered

It’s unsafe work environment. They had people riding pallet jacks that weren’t certified. Had someone who almost hit multiple people and did hit one person continue to have their license and drive like nothing happened. The management is horrible and the team leads are petty and unprofessional. It is nothing but favouritism at this place. If you like a work environment that is nothing but high school drama then that would be a good place for you. I highly recommend you do not get a job at this place. They do not care about employees. 

While I was there I have never seen so much mismanagement.  Supervisors who were more worried about doing as little as possible while others were completely useless. 
Upper management trying to put on the act that they're trying to "change the culture" which is a complete joke 

 Pretty wrapping on GARBAGE IS STILL GARBAGE.
The list can go on & on but you get the picture. Even though the money is appealing be very careful of what you're walking into. 

AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Interview went well but the environment is hostile employees run the floor no respect they emphasize respect when they lack it there is no order because the people that have been there aren’t willing to follow guidelines to train to make you successful instead they set you up for failure because Somehow some way people are related and that inevitable but that’s why you would think the chain of command is in place but no communication whatsoever with management.

Lineage focus on Safety: It is everyone responsibility, correcting unsafe behavior , ensuring everyone's safety.
Usually workday is medium, easy going, and it depends on day to day schedule.
Management is good , very supportive, lot of room to progress.
Enviroment, workplace is good and enjoyable. 
Lineage promote Appreciation days by serving BBQ's, Gift Cards etc

Management at the company is poor from the top to the front line. None of them are capable of being proactive meaning a constantly hectic workplace, leading to health and safety issues which the managers are mainly clueless of because they don’t come out of their offices and interact with the common staff.
