Litens operate like family company ... skills and expertise not worth for your grow up and only personal relation with management is key factor . engineering team not being managed at all ( not sure if VP is even engineer ) . they don’t see the value of their good employee and they are just looking for employee who says “ Yes”. Therefore politic is a key ! 
HR is weak in  Litens and they don’t really do proper job except setup training and not driver  in hiring , promoting ,demoting .... In engineering , They have very unstable org chart and they don’t select leader based on expertise ! 
They are trying  to show  “ winning to getter “ but if there is a win it will be for management  only and key persons are not being seen .therefore it is actually “ Loosing together “ 
Lots of procedures in place but none of them being respected since senior management really old school and don’t see the value of procedure that is why that there is no clear responsibility in engineering team . All written procedures are just for audit purposes . 
No really successful engineering team   ! Only making money from their legacy products . 
It is a good place to start your career just fresh from school but if you are experienced engineer you will be shocked  working in Litens .

This place needs brand new management.

The company doesn't value you, or what you have accomplished in your life. The treatment for the employees is terrible. There's a lot of micro management and the employees are all miserable, hate-their-lives but must come to work for the money. The compensation levels are much below the industry. 

First year, you get NO vacation. Unless you're related to someone in the company or there is some other situation, you get NO days off. Work-life balance is terrible. Most days, you end up working past 10 hours a day and you will get NO OVERTIME.

The company does not care about you or your life. You get no Christmas bonus, only a $50 gift card to Loblaws.

You worked hard to get your engineering degree, so go work for a compant that values you. 

VP of Engineering doesn't have an actual engineering degree.

A typical day of work consists of being focused, efficient and productive. In this company I have learned how to combine components to make a functional automotive part and various machine operation. Management is very strict and focused on being the best in this industry no room for error or loss and they make the staff their number one priority both personally and work-wise. Co-workers work as a team efficiently and assertively in order to get the job done in a timely manner and each has their own responsibility on line to make the transition from components to parts run smoothly. The hardest part of the job is being new and learning all areas of each station but once you have been trained to do so the difficulty is no longer an issue. The most enjoyable parts of this job are the way in which the company shows their appreciation to the staff for their their hard work through out each year , with awards, bonuses and treats.

Fast paced a lot of new technology you can learn, some people operating machines not properly trained, constantly you are called to machines for some minor problems.
Most of the production management lack technical knowledge, when you try and explain details of some problems to them. 
Some supervisor are very pushy, and threatening to discipline you for every minor situation
Most co-workers are very help full and will work on some problems with you.
Hardest part of the job was when you first start there, there is no orientation or training given to you, they just expect you to know where to find things or look for information.Supervisors talk down to you and treat you as if you are stupid
The enjoyable part of the job was working with new technology

High employee turn over !!!

I work in the testing department at Litens Automotive and all the machines contain a heater inside them, so when the temperature rises outside, for instance if the temperature outside is 30 degrees, the temperature in the testing department feels as if it's 45-50 degrees. So, sometimes it becomes very difficult to work inside the testing department. Apart from that, all my co-workers are very friendly and helpful as well as my management.

What is the best part of working at the company?
leaving after work. Old school mentality. the treat you like school age children


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Directors and managers always try to place the blame on their employees so they don't take the hit. Lack of management skills. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
shut up do your work. look busy. don't ask questions. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
bowing to the senior management. work your butt off and hope you made someone happy

What is the best part of working at the company?
Driving to work each day with lots of parking space. Other than this I'm unable to recollect anything better.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
That they can fire you anytime. The management uses this as a tool to reign in their employees.

Not encouraging at all. Every other week you hear someone is fired and struggle to get the reason behind that action.

Hectic. It's a fast pace work environment belonging to  automotive industry manufacturing sector.

What is the best part of working at the company?
They paid well and offered good benefits and holiday time.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The management. They promoted people who weren’t qualified, but were obsequious sycophants. Unfortunately you couldn’t trust anyone. Good ideas were taken by management for their own.

With the right people, it was good. Problem is, there were very few “right people”.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Get to work, do my work, avoid management, try and do the best I could.

Check emails, go through any outstanding cases from night shift.
Walk to the plant area and take care of outstanding issues.
Update data in the system
Continue working on daily schedule.
Sometimes attend to urgent production issues.
Work environment is cooperative and friendly and there is no discrimination.
The most enjoyable part is that I am given full responsibility
and so I take a lot of pride in my job, since I rarely see my
manager on day to day basis.
I have learned to manage my time more.
I would not say hard, but maybe sometimes not challenging enough.
