Role of Technical Support:
As a member of the technical support team, your primary responsibility is to provide assistance to both internal teams (e.g., product development, sales) and customers (e.g., wildlife researchers, conservation agencies) regarding the setup, troubleshooting, and operation of wildlife tracking devices. This includes addressing technical issues with hardware and software, guiding clients through product installations, and ensuring that the technology is performing optimally for field use.

Lotek is a great place to work and I have spent a significant part of my working career here. As a manager my typical workday has a lot of variety involving people, product, and all of the associated problems of working at a small to medium size company. 
Due to the size of the company I feel that my contribution is tangible and meaningful. I always felt my input on various issues was valued. Most all of the employees have been a pleasure to work with.
Management has always listened carefully and is approachable at all levels for discussion regarding any topic that comes up.
There has always been a distinctive 'family' feel to this company that maybe has decreased a bit with company growth but is none the less still there. This is fostered I think through various company get togethers and planned social activities as well as an 'open door' policy.
The hardest part of the job but also most rewarding has been managing people.
I get great great enjoyment at getting the monthly orders completed and shipped.

My days at Lotek were always exciting and I have learned so much working there.  I worked in IT and had the freedom to complete complete tasks with the support of my manager and management if needed.

Lotek is a tremendous company, not only for the environmental aspect of what they do, but they support their staff and they show that they really care..  They have external holiday company functions along with many internal celebrations that include all staff and cultures..    There are anniversary announcements, birthday acknowledgements, healthy food days and games that the Social Committee would setup.

I have always been very comfortable with my job position, colleagues and management.   It is just a superb place to work and have been  treated with respect from all and would recommend Lotek in a second.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Friendly staff and interesting products. Ability to work at your own pace. Generally all staff are willing to help each other when able.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
For myself, it was the amount of workload and dealing with a new boss unfamiliar with our knowledge and product. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
This is a multicultural company. The environment is relatively good. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy and interesting. Having interesting conversation while working on product together. Being able to see the new designs and at times putting in your two cents worth.

The management team are very friendly and supportive, and I feel like my contributions are valued.  There are very talented individuals working here and there is a very collaborative environment. The work culture is superb and the best I've experienced with management being very approachable and encouraging work life balance. Compensation and benefits are competitive and there is genuine feeling that managers care about you.

Lotek is a good place to work - a good chunk of employees have been here for decades. Friendly and inclusive atmosphere among coworkers. Have been open to a hybrid working structure ( remote and in-person) for some departments. Company has international locations, which allows for a good mix of cultures, languages and travel opportunities for marketing & sales positions. Company also accommodates further education, and additional courses where needed.

I was a student working at Lotek during the last two summers. Overall I had a great experience working there as the team helped me learn many new things and I didn't feel out of place in any way. The team are welcoming, supportive and genuinely interested in helping one learn. 

Highly recommend to other students looking to grow their skills in a friendly work environment.

A very good place to work with lots of friendly, skillful and cooperated colleagues. Flexible working hours. Willing to work to challenge yourself. Management treats each one equal and respective. My over 20 years working experience here is productive and memorable. It becomes part of my family life.

After working here for almost a year, I find the company treats their employees well.  There are quite a few people who have worked here for decades and that tells you something.  The staff and Management are friendly and promote a safe and supportive work environment.  Each month their are fun activities for the staff such as contests and a once in awhile, a free lunch for all staff.  

Friendly working environment, flexible working schedule, lots of fun social events/activities, great management team, over 20 years working here, learn many things at work and many of staff just like the family member.
