Throughout my extensive 25+ years of professional experience, I have yet to encounter a work environment as toxic and disorganized as the one at this company. The pervasive negativity permeated every aspect of the workplace, making it an incredibly challenging environment to thrive in. I strongly urge prospective candidates to meticulously scrutinize employee feedback, both current and former, to gain a comprehensive understanding of what to expect.

The turnover rate at this company is shockingly high, with management either newly appointed or pending. This revolving door of leadership exacerbates existing issues and impedes any hope of stability or progress.

My experience with payroll was fraught with difficulties, highlighting a profound lack of professionalism and competence within the company's administrative processes. 

Moreover, the fact that they extended a job offer to me on the spot raises serious concerns about their recruitment practices and the overall state of the organization.

Regrettably, I struggle to recall any redeeming qualities or positive experiences during my tenure with the company. My short time at this company had a profound effect on my mental health. 

In my opinion, my workplace is really great. The management is great because they support ongoing learning, making the work atmosphere dynamic and focused on learning. The best part is there's no violence or harassment, and they have strict rules against being rude, creating a safe and inclusive place. We also have a diverse team, which makes the overall experience even better. They offer fitness classes like running and Zumba, showing they care about our well-being. And every month, they give out awards to recognize and appreciate our hard work.  What's more, each member of the team is easily approachable, making communication smooth and friendly. Additionally, we have the best system in place for communication, making it easy for everyone to stay connected and collaborate effectively. Overall, the mix of ongoing education, positive culture, and dedicated management makes my job really enjoyable.

Louis Brier Home and Hospital has been an incredible place to start my healthcare career. I joined through the HCAP (Health Career Access Program), and the support I received was outstanding. The coordinators were hands-on and genuinely invested in our success.

From gathering the initial requirements, helping us get into school, and guiding us through the entire process of transitioning from Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) to Registered Care Aide (RCA), the support was consistent and encouraging every step of the way.

The work environment is friendly, inclusive, and professional. You feel valued and part of a team that truly cares about both residents and staff. I’m very thankful to have started my journey here and highly recommend Louis Brier to anyone looking to grow in healthcare.

So far, I have not encountered any stress in my work. I believe that maintaining honesty in our efforts contributes significantly to a positive and productive environment.

Working at Louis Brier Home and Hospital offers a dynamic routine, involving direct resident care, medication administration, and teamwork with fellow healthcare professionals. The experience cultivates skills in patient interaction, time management, and empathy, enriching personal growth. Management likely fosters a culture of compassion, collaboration, and resident-centered care. Challenges may arise from the complexity of residents' medical needs and time constraints, yet the role's rewarding aspects lie in forming meaningful connections with residents and witnessing their improved well-being. Being part of a supportive team dedicated to enhancing residents' quality of life makes each day fulfilling and impactful.

Worked here for 2 months. First it is contracted to Wes Cana food services. Not very well managed, flip flop managers, Chef is only concerned about his job an advancement. Mental Health of the working kitchen is a nightmare an stressful. just have run around an strain yourself. Health an safety is a huge issue as well. 

To sum it up they sell you an idea an show you a warm feeling of joy but when you start working you want to leave right away. Working for Contracted food services is becoming a past thing now. There are better jobs that are far more modern an promote "WORKPLACE CULTURE" 

The Unionized staff is really awesome once you understand an they are helpful, but be fair warned it is a Punjabi speaking work place. Very hard to fit in!

What is the best part of working at the company?
It is fun. Workmates are very warm and you always feel at home including managers.  interaction with clients is like dealing with a family and family of clients let you feel like a family, too.

Not really most stressful but i feel that organization needs more manpower for a balance distribution of labor.

just like family. working will seem easy because everybody is willing to help out when one needs help

The culture is probably my favourite part about working at Louis Brier. I love the staff appreciation events, celebrations and gatherings because they give me a chance to interact with people I don't normally work with. I have been given the chance to attend a few courses and conferences, which I enjoyed and learned a lot from. I transitioned from one role to another and it was a great career advancement for me. I like working at a place where my efforts and abilities are valued and where I am encouraged to learn, get out of my comfort zone and grow professionally.  

There are several events created and provided for their staff. They are all fun and engaging. 
Something I learned in this place is that you need to have such a great passion for care and patience in the health care industry. 
Their staffs are very welcoming and lovely.
The most enjoyable part of the job is that we can meet the residents and to learn about their history.
