MACNEIL WASH SYSTEMS

The job itself was fairly easy and there were some nice perks, like being allowed to listen to music and having a pretty laid back atmosphere.
However, supply issues were a major problem and management would constantly shuffle the work schedule - forcing us to take jobs apart so that we could use the parts on the new prioritized job. 
Management was also terrible at giving notice for meetings and lunches, and on at least 2 occasions, announced that our normally 1 hour bbq lunch would be shortened to 20 minutes.... 15 minutes into said lunch. Management also engaged in shady behaviors like scheduling a mandatory Saturday after a stat holiday Monday so they could get out of paying for overtime. 
I liked the job, but I left because I was tired of being jerked around by management all the time.

Management is lacking, too many people trying to be a boss, and the boss is no where to be found when you need him/her.
A lot of harassment at the hands of other employees and nothing is done about it, when you finally speak up, they let you go. So it's really a "Shut up and put up with it" kind of place.
Pay is great, but to me, not worth the stress and upset that comes with it.

Macnei is a good start into welding. Lots of varied parts from small to large. I learned how to fit and use fixtures. Macneil is all about finness so making nice looking structually strong parts was a good learning experience. The hardest part of the job was having to wait on pats. The most enjoyable part of the day would be when producing high quality parts and welds.

If you like being threatened to have mandatory overtime hours put in place, only to be partially laid off, after working 2 overtime shifts, because they dont have enough work, then you will probably also enjoy when they complain about your attendance, even though your attendance record is good! 

One of the most poorly managed companies i have ever seen in my life..... Its a nightmare! 

Helping others.
To be smarter and research a company and the people in it before starting.
Horrible management.
Unhealthy workplace culture.
Dealing with seniority and their head games.
Working out problems and helping others complete their work.

Overall a pretty good place to work where morale is higher than average but the product line is limited to a niche market.
At least 2 layoffs a year.
Benefits are way below average

Same day to day, good ppl to work with most of the time , but too much favoritism for too many ppl.
At times you would offer ideas and advice to make things more efficient, but they wouldn't care 

Very interesting job at first, company refuses to give raises or promotions. It feels like a one way street, you give and give. They don't show any gratitude, the place is not designed for ambitious workers.

Very clean and organized shop.
Good people, nice work environment.
Lots of free stuff
Including barbecue 
Catering in nice meals
Extra bonuses for quarterly achievements 


None of the jobs given were difficult, just tedious. I enjoyed the people I worked with. The work environment was easy going. The jobs that you were given were repetitive, so if you like that kind of work, it is for you. I enjoyed the routine and would recommend.
