Sadly I was treated badly at my workplace with MB Health.
I was also treated unfairly there.  Other employees received assistance with their learning plan which led to them to be able to receive promotions.  I asked my supervisors many times for assistance in order to complete my learning plan, but I was not given help as often as others.  Eventually other staff (one that started on the same day as me) received a promotion probably because he had a learning plan.  It is sad that supervisors pick and choose who they want to help because everyone deserves a chance.
There were some nice staff there, but a lot of the people couldn't have cared less about the emotional turmoil I went through at that workplace.  I sat and cried at my desk a lot of times because I was sad and frustrated with my lack of progress in that office, and I was very depressed.  Only a couple of people cared.
Eventually my workplace destroyed my mental health.  I was off work for long periods of time because of the effects this place had on me.  Eventually I quit my job because I was sick of being harassed, ostracized, and separated from other workers by management.  When I left I ended up doing a job working at home where I made way less money and had no benefits.  I was happy to be away from Manitoba Health.  Manitoba Health is the department in the Provincial Government that has the most grievances I was told by my union rep.  If possible, for your own good stay away from Manitoba Health unless you luck out and find a great office with good supervisors, not ones who know nothing about supervising, and hopefully a bunch of good coworkers.
Sadly, for summer students they seem to only hire students who have relatives working for the department.  That is very unfair for other students who deserve a chance to get a good summer job.

Disappointment part of the job was the higher frequency of failure to communicate from upper management when questions were asked.
Discoordination/ Disorganized in scheduling tasks/ no communication skills showed by office staff, no telephone manners, inept approach to handle critical situations, total absent of knowledge when reporting particular situations.
Extremely enjoyed building relasionship with families in the community.

The management in primary care suck, with the exception of the executive director who is really an s amazing person. But but her role is too busy and she doesn't have time to see and fix everything going on at the primary Healthcare branch. So her assistant kinda overseas everything. But she is mean, pretentious, autocratic,racist and inhuman. She enjoys listening to gossip snd acts on what she hears without proper investigation. I left them in peace and will never work for manitoba health, not even for 200k per month.

Coded hospital and medical claims assessing validity, claims follow-up and in-puting through CRT's.

Management were very good to their staff and my co-workers were very easy to get along with, helpful and knowledgeable.

The job was not hard at all and the most enjoyable part of the job was the position.

entering information about patients with TB. talking to the nurses on the reserves about patients. Management was tough at first but then settled down . the hardest part of the job was learning about TB each person has a different type and what they do about it. Loved entering information about patients, talking to the nurses about patients. This was a temp position with the government.

I had my intern here as data analyst! I had a chance to work with very great and knowledgeable people. I managed to learn a lot since this is my first job about the analyst, but I also had a chance to apply my programming skill. Not much for the salary but I'm happy with it for the intern

Gained various skills that I believe will benefit in the next steps of my career relating to finance and accounting. In a typical day at work you will always find your self on the job as there are always a number of tasks that need to be completed.

Had 5 weeks with contract through Staffmax, the Management and team were awesome staff to work with.  I really enjoyed working with the team creating items for Program Administrators.  I learned to work in a great team, they strive to make there staff feel awesome.

A great place to learn all about health coverages, how claims were processed, all filing systems, and gained many long friendships with co-workers.

Hired as a Student though I did seek for a full time permanent position in Desktop. Heard it was possible though I am on month 8 of waiting to hear anything.
