When I started it was a good place but now it’s going down hill Sea board back east don’t really care for the west and they really don’t care at all for drivers out west to our pay is one of the lowest in Edmonton and over time you don’t see if you work in the city safety department you got to watch it’s really do what I say not what I do in 18 years of driving class one it’s not a bad place to work. They have newer trucks and getting new trucks all the time trailers are ok some old and newer 

cold shop no orginization just grab a unit as it come in hopefully its close to service if not do it anyway if it is due dispatch wont let let you get them if you want a paycheck and no advancement then it works head company is SEABOARD always looking for people and after working here no wonder as they dont care about anything but profit

When Mantei’s Transport was still owned and operated by the Mantei family, it was a great place to work, they truly cared about their employees. Once Seaboard took over, absolutely everything changed.  I was expected to do a full time job in part time hours, I was told that if I take any vacation time, I would have to work 12-14 hour days when I came back to do the work I missed on vacation. The job became very stressful

Typical fuel company with scary , fear for your life, equipment. none of the drivers wrote anything up, or did anything they were supposed to do. had 7 flats in one month. gotta shim every connection for leaks cause drivers are too lazy to just change a gasket that literally takes 10 secs to switch. the trailers are garbage.

once the company was taken over and bought out by seaboard transport , mantei's transport went downhill fast. The corporate attitude was to the value of the dollar and profit at the expense of its employees, forcing employees to take pay cuts and create an atmosphere of discontent.

Manteis Transport is an excellent place to work for mainly because of the in office leadership. He is fair and understanding. He fights for those who are trustworthy and dedicated. The only negative that can be said is it is now overseen by Seaboard Transport group. This company is out of touch with unrealistic expectations and lacks foresight. 

Mantei‘s offers a fantastic compensation package and great benefits, matching $/$ RRSP program. 
And of course, yearly bonuses.  With 11 paid stats. Union negotiated wages and yearly service increases. 

I had a good experience with the company until Seaboard took over. They have a different way of relating with employees. I’m for sure it’s a solid job if it’s plenty of work and good pay is what you’re looking for. I hold nothing against them. Generally very good people.

Great pay , enough time for family , bring stability in life.. independent environment . Sense of job security In work, regular rise in pay after specified intervals. Unionized job.

Disconnected management - fire, ready & aim. No leadership, 5-6 family members working in key positions making it difficult for employees to succeed.
