Mapei Brampton used to be a great place to work.
We enjoyed coming to work and building the team and company stronger.

But recently  it all has changed.unit manager bullies  employees on daily basis from floor employees to management 
Talks down on them, micromanage, talks down on them.
So many break downs everyday, equipment runs way slower then used to. You will be packing 100 skids by hand everyday sometimes. 
No one seems to be engaged anymore.
People don’t feel like a team anymore.
You feel like you being watched while focus should be working to create good environment 
Senior employee get treated like nothing.

Company is going downhill and very sad.
Unit manager often seems not following safety rules while warning others. 

The plant in Brampton, offers competitive wages for unionized workers and it's relatively easy to pick up overtime for the seniors, which is a plus for those looking to boost their income. However, the current management structure  feels disorganized and lacks the leadership that the previous one had. The health and safety culture could use significant improvement, as the focus seems to be more on internal gossip than on proactive safety planning. With stronger leadership and a more professional approach to safety, this workplace has the potential to be much better

Worked there almost 2 years, poor planning for trips, try make you go over driving hours (without saying it). And then let you go with zero explanation when you've never even been written up or had a verbal warning. That management is seriously lacking and is being run from someone from Saskatchewan currently, who doesnt really even see what goes on around the shop in alberta. Just a manager on a power tripEveryone else in the company seems nice enough to your face.

There are some good people that work there but the management seem like a bunch of liars. Very dust environment not good for your health. This place is only good for a short term bill payer

The place seems to be  slow paceed

Beautiful working environment, great working experience and colleagues... more to still improve though but overall experience was great. Job is done systematically thru different departments. The more you are willing to learn the more better you are and more opportunities as well. 

Mapei is a highly organized company that focuses on customer satisfaction and quality. The provide excellent leadership and guidance for  new employees. I would love to work for this company in the future.

Loved that they were flexible with the schedule, as I just had my first child and needed some time to coordinate family and work. 
The accounting team was great, even thou we were understaffed for a while.
Also, loved the fact that I had my own office, as almost every one did over there.

It was a very fun and best company . Benefits and increase are fairly distributed . Human resource was the best . Promotion was done based on performance and eligibility  - its a no racial discrimination environment

management wasn't great but its a great place to gain experience, people were amazing but management weren't respectful to their employees, amazing place to learn new products and how to properly use tools
