What is the best part of working at the company?
I worked in an office position and had a very positive experience with the company prior to the change in regional management in 2024. The team members were supportive, collaborative, and committed to maintaining a strong work environment.

Unfortunately, after the transition, the overall workplace culture and leadership quality declined drastically. Senior management consistently lacked direction, accountability, and effective communication. Decisions were frequently made without any real understanding of day-to-day operations, resulting in ongoing confusion, inefficiencies, and frustration across teams.

There was a clear and concerning shift toward toxic management behavior. Communication became inconsistent and often dismissive, and concerns raised by staff were routinely ignored rather than addressed. The leadership approach was heavily blame-driven, with little to no focus on solutions or team support. Employees were often made to feel undervalued, unheard, and easily replaceable.

Expectations were unrealistic and disconnected from operational realities, yet there was little to no support provided to achieve them. Transparency was lacking, accountability at the management level was minimal, and recognition for employee efforts was nearly nonexistent. Professional boundaries were not consistently respected, which further contributed to a high-stress and uncomfortable work environment.

While the team at the operational and office level remained strong and supportive, morale declined significantly due to poor leadership. What was once a collaborative and growth-oriented workplace turned into a reactive, high-pressure, and at times toxic environment that made it difficult to succeed.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part was the constant pressure to meet unrealistic expectations without clear direction or adequate support. Priorities frequently changed with little to no communication, and employees were often held accountable for outcomes beyond their control. The lack of transparency and the blame-driven management style created ongoing uncertainty, making it difficult to succeed despite putting in consistent effort.

Every morning after computer start up there were between 5-7 programs to bring up to assist patients who would be calling in to book appointments with doctors, set up meetings for head office staff, callback lists and schedules. EMR was used for scheduling appointments. Once programs were all up and ready the soft-phone was then activated in order to receive calls. The day would consist of taking numerous calls from patients and clinic staff who were in need of assistance. Booking, rescheduling, cancelling, assisting patients in a variety of medical questions or updating personal information in charts. Co-workers were very helpful and willing to help if there were any unfamiliar questions. The hardest part of the job would be the people calling in very upset or in pain needing emergency assistance which couldn't be provided over the phone. Directing these patients to health link or the emergency room if a regular doctor was not available to see them. The best part of the job was the fulfillment of helping someone out, booking them an earlier than expected appointment, squeezing them in where possible and having them sigh with relief and thank you many times over. The feeling of helping someone out and sometimes going above and beyond is very satisfying and can easily make your day!

The management is unprofessional and rude. It does not care about the reality and treat the staffs  very unkindly. This might be due to the whole business are run by non-medical people. The hierarchy is made of some unprofessional pharmacists or drug related business people, who think themselves superiors than the physicians.

The company doesn’t care about employees at all. My manager was good, and my coworkers were amazing but the pressure the company put on us was terrible. They also pulled the “not allowed to discuss pay with coworkers” card because they would underpay people and not want them to know. They never listened to feedback and so it makes our lives and systems so much harder. 

I like working there , every day I learn new things , I meet a lot of new people specially it's a walking clinic few minutes from the centre of Edmonton. The clinic manager is very professional & educative person & she has a solution for every problem . Physicians are very collaborative despite the stress they have . It's different than any other clinic.

Workload is very hard to handle. Expected to see a lot of patients in short period of time. Very little pay increase annually. No room for advancement. 

The people at the head office are great, other then the management. they have no idea how to do anything other then small business. the company wants to be big business, however they cant with the way their management thinks.

Our manager come with an idea to customize our Christmas cards from our Clinic with a grup photo with all of us. Our cards looks amazing! I love to work there ! The single inconvenient was if you need a full time job you have to travel between clinics and it's not sure every month you got the hours for a full time job.

Flexible schedule. Resources are at hand for guide. Opportunity for growth in skills and career. Cons are that ours are somewhat unstable depending on the physician's availability. But other than that, its a pretty awesome job to have for a part time.

From opening to closing the clinic, never a dull moment. Many patients with very high complex needs to your every day concerns.  Great place to work with great management and physicians that are all truly understanding and provide the best care to all.
