Working at Metso was a breeze, I have learned so much in my one year period (I was under contract replacing for a maternity leave) I would have loved to keep working there but unfortunately there was no position open for the moment. My team as i like to call them, was wonderful! helping eachother to make things happen. For me there's nothing like team work! They would also take the time to teach, explain and make it easy to understand. My coworkers were the best, we became friends very quickly and even though i am not working there anymore, i am still in contact with most of them. Although we had to respect very precise deadlines and working long hard hours, it was all worthwhile when a project was finalize and that in the right way. Lovely and memorable work experience!

Metso was a great place to work. A typical 8 hour day consisted of receiving/issuing parts either into stock room or on to shop floor assembling orders with tight deadlines making sure their tagged with all appropriate shipping criteria loading and unloading of trucks. The pay rate was competitive group insurance was excellent all around a great group of co-workers/management. The hardest part of the job was learning where all the parts and part numbers were when I took over for the co-worker who retired. The most enjoyable part of the job was always something different everyday and the friendly conversation with the truck drivers when they come into either pick up or drop off goods.

Travel and most fellow field service people

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being treated lessor because not French being sent on a site without the right training and being forced into job position didn’t sign up for or want 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Depends on the group you are in group run out of Montreal not good to work for if you are not French

Watched a lot of good people leave and all the wrong people left in charge. If you put in your time and had a pulse chances are you’re a VP or manager. Titles sound impressive but don’t say much because every second employee is a manager of something. Two levels of VPs for twice the bureaucratic fun!

Being a Large Multi National company made getting simple things approved a challenge, due to complicated decision making process at the upper management level.

I was only there as a summer intern. I helped to implement SAP into their office. I assisted accounting, production, purchasing and sales. I really enjoyed my time there and the people i worked with were great.

A lot of multi passes witch make it very interresting and challenging. Must be able to weld in various positionning. Great experience. Developped alot of welding skills.
