I've worked at MTI for 9 years at the time of writing.

The company isn't perfect, and the nature of the work is difficult -- but I feel the majority of the management team does their best to accommodate employees.

As other reviewers have states, time management is closely monitored, though it's not true that we have to wait for breaks to use washrooms. (Washroom time comes out of your daily break time allotment, but can be taken at any time.) I'd still prefer more flexibility, but there is some flexibility there.

Supervision is a mixed bag, with some old school discipline heavy managers, with some more flexible and nicer to deal with supervisors.

Room for advancement is limited, but for those needing a stable, regularly scheduled job for a period of time I would recommend.

You are to make up each minute you are late and are shouted at when break and home time is allowed to be taken.  Can not get up and use washroom, must wait until break.  Must not leave fenced premises while on break and must cover mouth to cough even while outside.  Must look pretty but NOT smell pretty and being sick at work is called "misbehaving".  Attendance bonuses are tracked minute by minute and any excuse is used to take-away your entire attendance bonus for the month after making every effort to maintain minute to minute the entire month.  Must work 40 hours per week even if you take a sick day you must work 10 hour shifts the remainder of the week to complete 40 hours.

I joined MTI a month ago, honestly the job I will recommend to people over and over again. If you want to be a professional sales rep, then this is the place for you. I found a family in MTI. I didn't feel I was a newcomer as everyone is treated the same. The management team are awesome and wonderful colleagues willing to support and encourage you. You will be challenged to put your best because of the good work environment. They also try to ease tension and stress off by playing soft music and games. I can't finish without mentioning the incentives and bonuses. I give it to them, truly a great place to be.

Overall, I did enjoy working at MTI. 

I advanced in management and was treated with respect, I learned how to be productive and how better to manage my time here. 

The hardest part of the job for me was when I was on the phone for 8-10hrs a day, it's just something I never got used to

There are monthly prize draws and lots of incentives to get sales

A typical day at work would be talking all day, selling cable/phone/internet. One thing that I did learn is how to talk professionally, and also strategies to make sales. The management was at times harsh, but understanding as well. The hardest part of the job was when I first started it was very hard to ask for the sale. The most enjoyable part was when we made all our sale quota for the month.

Stressful and mentally exhausting. Poor management with a confused system/work ethics.don’t care about their employees,all they care about is hours. Can’t use the bathroom before break time, office bickerings and gossips are also part of the problem.

They will keep track of when and how long you use the bathroom for. If they make a mistake and pay you too much they will be upset with you that they made a mistake. If you appear to be smarter than management purely by accident (very easy to do) management will form a personal vendetta against you.

I have been in the company for 4+ years and I have learned a lot. We work as a team to reach the totals. I love participating in all contests. Working with different clients is a nice change of pace.

I had fun while I was at the company, I felt part of the team and that my work was a part of a bigger picture.

I was a great learning experience for me.

Fast paced environment with great teamwork. Through ongoing training, employees can learn new skills and apply them to excel in their current roles. In general an environment where one can flourish
