A typical day was to wait 5 to 10 minutes at the beginning of the shift to be told what to do. It probably was for temp workers, as I was.

I learned that "5S" should be mandatory in all manufacturing companies.

Management. Hard to make a judgement from my perspective and short time working there, but I would say that Planning was one of the missing administrative principles. Also I have to highlight the smart way that management made changes on the run without notice (Smooth impact).

My coworkers were very collaborative.

The hardest part of the job: having to work at high temperatures.

The most enjoyable part of the job: Getting knowledge of some new duties

A typical day at work was usually really friendly, you would go in, go to your work station and talk to your team leader about what you were to do that day, and then you would go get it done. Everything needed to be hung a certain way so if we weren't sure we had to go double check with a painter. My managers were all very nice and extremely helpful when someone needed help with anything. The hardest part of the job was "A-Frames" becuase of my height it made them a little harder to do.

applied here through AllStaff was only here for a week untill they decided to lay me off due to "lack of work" no other feedback just lazy response to AllStaff i showed up on time and work my hardest to try and get hired on full time but unfortunately that did not happen they show favouritism and do not care about temps at all. highly do not recommend coming here as a temp because you will not be guaranteed a job here

I worked there briefly as a part-timer, doing some shifts here and there. The work was good, and there was opportunity to socialize while still working at full capacity and efficiently. All employees are helpful and friendly, and the higher ups take care of their people. 

I learned valuable skills, and about the process of a production factory, and how every person has an important role in the final products.

Fast paste job specific to preparation of the product for military specifications Compliance with ISO 9000
Strict definition of paint standards and application of paints.
Quality and self inspection was the main focus to comply with customer standards.
WHIMIS compliance at work environment

The pay is good. Management is fairly disorganized and some of the team leaders don't even speak english. The way they train newbies is to throw them into the work and hope they don't make any mistakes. Opportunity for advancement is good within the first year, after that it takes 10+ years to achieve another raise. Overall, if you work hard, you're rewarded well.

Management will not take any responsibility and will blame floor workers that are new for anything and everything possible. They would rather give pizza lunch as a tax deduction than pay employees. The company fails to follow safety standards for confined spaces and other hazards. The plant manager is aggressive and out right rude to younger employees and new staff.

Great money, most people were friendly to work with and happy to answer questions, however some of the senior workers seem to think they are untouchable and act accordingly as they know they get away with intolerable actions that would leave new hires fired on the spot. Overall just poor management to addressing problems in the workplace.

A typical place of employment..Management was always good..Co-workers are amazing people..The most enjoyable part of the job is the satisfaction of sending out beautiful parts to customers..The hardest part of the job is wanting the parts to look better than what may be required by a supervirser in a rush.

Worked a week, and was told there was plenty of work before getting hired on. 7 days later I was laid off. I had left a seasonal job for this position just to be out work once again
