The most satisfying aspect of working at this company is leaving and finding new employment which many good people have. 

Management has been staffed with people who are ill fit for their roles. They have few skills and even less insight into how to manage people successfully. Add into that limited intelligences with inflated egos and very little work experience outside of the company itself. All of this has resulted in a workplace that is toxic, low functioning and with poorly conceived processes (if any) that change constantly. The workers who stay feel they have no place to go or they are part of the problem.

Tantrums and inappropriate behaviour at the highest level are common with no sense of responsibility for that behaviour. There is no support or gratitude and blaming and shaming by yelling and hissy fits occurs often. In this company it's not how hard you work or what skills you have, it's how much you can suck up to inept managers. 

If you respect yourself, bypass this place. You will not regret it.

The only people who have anything decent to say about MJ are the ones who work out in the field, and don't have to experience the misery and gloom which is present in the office. 

    The "office bully" seems to enjoy intimidating and embarrassing employees by frequently summoning them into his overly extravagant office, then unleashing a hissy fit upon them. Obscenities and expletives are yelled at a volume loud enough to penetrate walls; very inappropriate and immature behavior. Someone should explain their harassment policy to him.

    Long term employees, who were once the backbone of this company, are losing respect for their employer and becoming complacent in their duties. Performance levels drop as employees don't care about their jobs anymore. Numerous knowledgeable, experienced long-term employees have left and been replaced by staff who don't know the first thing about roofing.

Negative work place, office bully,power tripping, micro manager with napoleonic attutude who is afraid of losing job so wont train effectively or admit to own mistake but will throw coworkers under bus.Inappropriate comments made, have gone through many staff and have had some leave due to stress. .Poor management, no job security and daily passive aggressive attacks in addition to the swearing and inappropriate comments made. Do not waste time applying or working for this company,

get to the job site statr working then non stop till the end of the day
Management was half decent very intimidating.
the people were odl and young cranky guys never fun to be around happy with the minimum in life.
the whole job was hard lifting, pushing, pulling, all day long and the smell wasnt too pleasent either but you get used to it.

the most enjoyable part was knowing every day you sure did earn your pay.

Nepotism, greed and ignorance is how MJ is managed. The wrong people in upper management who are squeezing it fir all they can get. They're ignorant of roofing and managing.  Make promises they don't keep. Had smart and dedicated people working for them and they got fed up with it and left. 

Upper management is immature and childish. Lots of entitlement going on. Lacking  leadership. 

Ship going down.

High turnover with management with no previous experience makes getting information for scope of work difficult, lots of back stabbing and no structure. 25 yrs I have been in the roofing industry and this company is probably the most unprofessional I have worked for bar none! They are a sinking ship with mutinies abound every year.

long hours in summer. none in winter. hard work when you have it. some bad attitudes. high turn over. safety used to be good. office people dont know anything. makes it hard. managment changed but still not good. hard to move a head. lots of good peple left this this year..  ones in brandon quit to. there are other places that you get treated better. not going back this year.

During my time as a roofer at  mj roofing provided me with the proper training and safety when in the field the work was good labour worker such as my self would demolish old roof and clean debris and install new material  repetitive work I enjoyed my job

Working in the office a few years ago was slower over winter but fast-paced in spring/summer.  Worked with a lot of interesting and friendly people who were helpful when learning and training.  

A mix of typing, data entry, and emergency dispatching with other usual administrative tasks.  Overall a great experience.

I had a good experience working here. The job was physically demanding but paid well. It was hard in the summertime being in the sun all day. Some of the other crews were miserable but the one I was on was great. If you like traveling and hard work you'll like working here.
