My days were very scheduled at MMM Group. I would have multiple forms of data entry that would have to be completed to keep the billing process moving. These tasks included opening new work orders required for new projects, and updating invoices with the new account balance.

On my down time I would work on a special task that would change from week to week. Having separate tasks taught me how to use my time efficiently and and prioritize what needed to be completed first and which task could wait.

Management in the organization was very organized but at the same time flexible around my intern position.

Although the age difference between me and my co-workers were far apart, I was able to stay on the same page and keep communication constant. Management also played a role by having weekly team meetings.

The hardest part of my job was settling in. When I first started there was little work for me, and I felt futile in my position, but as my time passed I was given more responsibilities that helped me feel more at ease working in the company.

The most enjoyable part of my job was the experience and knowledge I gained while working side by side with multiple departments. I really got a feel of how the business operated and how organizations of this size keep their employees motivated to succeed.

My day consists of a varied tasks.  Everything from HR to reception duties to assisting the two senior executives in the office.  I am the document controller as well, which includes the formatting, editing and typesetting of all reports and proposals for the office.  I manage all day-to-day aspects of the office, including inventory of office supplies; A/P liaison; travel arranging and scheduling; and expense claims.  My co-workers are a friendly group that enjoy spending time together in and out of the office.

The most difficult part of my job is the lack of job description.  I have become the go-to person for all aspects of the office, leaving me to manage aspects of the office that are sometimes beyond my abilities or too time consuming to complete to the level of perfection that I expect from myself.

Not a great working environment but overall structure of the company is awesome. Great work places, lunch space and time for leisure. Great people co workers but management does not back the staff or appreciate their efforts so environment does become toxic.

I enjoyed my work tremendously.  However, corporately they have their own agenda.  Eliminate the staff that have been there for a long time and are in their opinion paid too much.  Doesn't matter what the local office says, they are only concerned about the bottom line, not the people.

Over the last 9 years I have had the wonderful opportunity to work in a couple fields that MMM/WSP has to offer.
Currently I am working with the Contract Administration group, working on a job site where I have gained valuable knowledge of the construction industry.

Good opportunity for new civil engineering student to learn the basics of construction projects on site. You get the chance to be on site for the entire summer.

good work environment, nice people to work with. easy to maintain job/personnel life but not well paid based on your skills.

I achieved  very important experience and guidance for bridge demolition, timber shoring, steel placement, concrete pouring, water proofing, asphalt paving, structural steel
