MONTEBELLO PACKAGING

Working at Montebello Packaging is fast-paced and teamwork is important every day. I learned to work under pressure, improve communication, and respect safety standards. Management is supportive and the workplace is respectful. Sometimes there are misunderstandings between coworkers, but we resolve them and continue working as a team. The hardest part is when machines malfunction and product quality does not meet standards. We then have to work hard to fix the problems and put everything back in place to ensure better product quality. The best part is the good team environment and helpful coworkers.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Management doesn’t Knowles about the machines, they only listen to people that are that are not knowledgeable to fix the machines but blaming others instead 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not being appreciated when you do a good job but getting questioned instead 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not too organized and 5s is poor

My department is low-stress, flexible and has very friendly people. I'm not sure the skills I've learned here can be used anywhere else as they're very specific. Annual raises and bonuses are nice but not on par with inflation. Management grants the bare minimum in terms of vacation time. Not having an HR department for the last few years has not helped in this regard.

It’s very fast paced and stressful at times when your supervisors are pushing you to get the scrap rate down and production rate up. The atmosphere and attitudes of people actually working on the factory floor are vastly different than the attitudes of the people working in the front offices. Morale is extremely low on the production lines.

The plant was ancient and poorly laid out. The machinery was ancient and constantly breaking down. The old timers had their little group and did not make new employees feel welcome. It was as hot as a greenhouse in the summer, was drenched in sweat all day long. The plant manager was a thug who would scream at someone before he had all the facts.

No matter how good you are at your job or how helpful you are ,you are put down ,lied about. Certain people can make alot of mistakes and never be corrected. While those who are good at their job are critisized and insulted. Production is a joke quality of products needs alot of improvement. The pay and benefits are really good, which is the only reason many stay. 

I reported directly to the President.On my first morning she spent half hour introducing me to most of the staff then she went on a two week business h
She left with no direction, goals objectives or budget.
She ask to write a white paper "with my fresh clear eyes" Amongst many other abnormalities she had husband wife working in Eng and signing off on PO's.Do

Montebello is great place to work. I started with Montebello in 2002, and I’ve learnt so much over the last 20 years. I started as a packer and have made my way to QA. I enjoyed the everyday challenges and was constantly motivated by my team! Everyone is easy to work with and is always looking to support and help each other! 

The company suffers from poor management that speak like a politician would. They do not grasp that many of the problems are staring at them back from a mirror. 
They don't care that their best employees leave all the time, it shows how they really think.
They need to invest in people.

Very bad working conditions. Very short training, aggressive and demanding supervisors and bosses, The machinery was ancient and constantly breaking down. they accuse the employees because the machine is going badly. They do not make new employees feel welcome, The plant manager was rude, and the boss too.
