What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
everything. disorganized, incompetent management, clique mentality within management, they’ll fire you if you have actual goals within the industry other than to gossip and sleep around. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
toxic. “assistant managers” have their jobs handed to them and have no actual knowledge of the industry. if you want to learn, you get fired. you’re not allowed to learn anything because then you might advance and be way more qualified for their jobs than they are, and they see that as a threat. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Management hovering, yet getting nothing done themselves. constantly upset customers, and when they’d like a manager, the managers all go hide and bang each other in the upstairs office so the employees are left to be mistreated by angry customers

Mainland Ford has a high turnover rate for a reason. Being a new dealership with new people coming in and out like a revolving door, leadership has no interest in your personal/career development. Favouritism is a plague in the sales department specifically, sales staff have 0 respect or trust in leadership, and even top performers are not getting respect or help they deserve. The leadership would rather lie to you and have 0 transparency. Commission structure is also quite different than other dealerships I've worked at. There is no transparency in how much you made off of a deal, they just decide what to give you and pocket the rest. Employee lunches the dealership puts on also requires us to pay for them, managers seem to be making enough money for frequent vacations, but sales people make pitiful amount of commission unless you are friends with the managers. Overall Very disappointed with my experience here.

Mainland Ford is a very poor and inadequate dealership. Overall they emphasize on growth within the TAG environment but individuals in the sales side rotate every couple months, that being said, there is no room for growth. Managers are the only ones who financially benefit from working here as they pocket everything while they have a extremely low fixed commission rate for the sales team. Leadership is egregious, communication amongst the team is repugnant. General Manager is aware of all actions done "underneath the table" and is supportive, such as forging signatures to get customer approved; has his favourites who he values while everyone else just someone who works for him. Overall this was a very dreadful experience, which is why employees are continuously altering in and out.

Work was busy, workers feel overworked, pay was far too low, and management was consistent in making unfulfillable promises. Attempting to negotiate higher salaries was impossible. It just wasnt worth it. The apprentices in the shop were put on flat rate...

I learned a lot from this place. Initially it was an enjoyable place to work but they seem to go through a lot of staff and that changes the dynamic of the work place quite a bit.

Years ago this was a fantastic place to work. Recently there was a management change and my experience with the management team was dishonest and unethical. YOU WILL BE PAID UNFAIRLY IN SALES.  

8 Hour shifts of arranging cars and driving to various locations to either fuel vehicles or to pick/drop of a vehicle. One of my favorite jobs except for the management personel.

Great place to work, always learning something new from management or from the Trotman auto group leadership trainer. The environment is very family environment and everyone treats you like family 

Enjoyed my years working there.   Worked well with fellow staff.  Management worked with staff to get the work accomplished.   Thanks to the company for their patience.  

it was fun prior. when i was there @ 2014 was new managent needed better training. Glad that theres new managers. When I left few others left with me, within few weeks.
