Make-A-Wish Foundation of America

Worked on fundraising projects and events. Tried to generate incremental revenue for Non-profit. Unfortunately, there is one employee at the NB branch which is the reason everyone else either leaves or is fired in NB, lead to toxic workplace and unhealthy. This person talked about everyone and undermined their relationships and authority. Made false accusations about several employees and tried to make them look bad to management and coworkers. 

Make-A-Wish is a company that whom I have volunteered for and the workplace is very fun because we get to help other people by making sure the event will be well organized and. The hardest part of the job was when we had to stand outside, all day, under the sun because it is very hot. However, the most enjoyable part of the job was to know that we are giving back to the community by volunteering because it feels good to give back even though there is not any given salary. The management was very welcoming, nice and encouraging.

It was a volunteer position. It was a great opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause. I was able to work with a variety of people. Make-a-wish foundation brings together people with diverse backgrounds, working together for a common goal.

-You get to talk to people at the honda indy and try to make as much money as possible for the charity
-Everything that the charity made that day, honda was going to double it
-It was a very friendly environment and exciting event

I had a wish granted when I was 16 by the make-a-wish foundation. It was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had in my life. Now that I'm in my 20's I volunteer at fundraising events for the make-a-wish foundation and I'm always surprised at everyone's kindness and generosity.

It was great to organize fundraisers for an amazing cause and be able to take part in them as well. The car wash was a lot of fun on a hot and sunny day as well as being able to plan and implement a night out charity.

When you work for a Not For Profit or NGO - you really have to enjoy what you are doing or  have a passion.  The salaries do not justify the long hours that a person puts in to the job.

Make a Wish Foundation has an excellent ethic and ideals.  The amount of sick children they help every year is phenomenal.  I am definitely for this company and am 100% behind this ideal.

Biking 24 hrs helped made many kids dreams cone true who were sadly diagnosed with cancer and did not have long to live,however raising thousands!!!!!

Makes you inspire to do something for a good cause. It was a door-to-door sales campaign where we have to educate potential donors about the SickKids monthly charity program
