when i started manheim was only a partner at the auction. but after a year they came in and bought out the other partner and changed management. I didnt mind management but they passed me over for the management position because i was young or they just didnt see me as a leader, which ever, I wasnt overly upset. until they hired somebody else who was just an absolutely terrible boss. They would not listen to my suggestions and the auction promptly fell to half of the volume we had been running.

I worked in the yard as a team lead and the expectation of performance is way high but given little resources or direction on how to successfully complete those expectation, I had to work 12 hours a day 6 days a week just to afford to live and my shifts were supposed to be 7 am to 4pm 5 days a week but had to do overtime to keep up with living costs, you can work your butt off for this company and they will not appreciate an ounce of it. 

My time there (4 years) was enjoyable. The process of vehicle transition from intake to sale/delivery was very involved yet efficiently handled by each department member. Many good memories and relationships.

The work is fairly easy to do, and there are days when there is no work to be done, so you get paid just to sit around. However, many of the management and higher-ups are always screaming at employees, and often use several racial slurs. Lastly, any mistake is punishable by termination of employment.

It was a fun working experience.  The workers there were also fun to work with.  We all knew when work had to be done and when it was time to have a good laugh.  

When it comes to customers, they were our number one priority.  I would drop what I was doing to always help the customers needs.  They would always leave with a smile, which would make my day.

Hard work , lots of hours. The lot management has your back but upper management knows jack all. The real people who get the job done are the lot workers. The people in the offices screw up and leave the mess to the lot workers.

Busy with plenty of customer contact by phone or in person.  Fun filled  auction days processing paperwork on cars. Helping customers  and making their day a great one. 


Would love to still be working for Manheim., retired north with my husband.

I was hired away from a competitor under different management. Was let go shortly after new management came in. I was disappointed that the management left but the new people put in place are false and only worry about making money for themselves. Did not agree with some policies and how business was conducted.

It's a tedious place to work. Dealers are never fully satisfied. 
Hours are long and training is not good at all. 

If you're hired through an agency then you are just a temporary worker with full time hours but no benefits. 

There is not set date when the temporary period ends and it could last longer than a year.

worked at manheim toronto. everyone was friendly, the senior workers were willing to help, boss was a a friendly guy. if he saw you do a good job, he will offer you a full-time job
