If you end up getting an entry level job here, you become a small cog in a giant system that will never have a chance for advancement. It is soul sucking to work here and you do not feel respected. The pay is terrible, management has no empathy, and training does nothing to actually prepare you for the job. Forget about your actual life because this place essentially forces you to do months of overtime. They say, “we know you have lives, just tell us when you cannot do overtime.” It’s not easy to tell them no when the “understanding” feels fake to begin with. 

Unless you are looking for a career (RIBO, IT, CIP, etc.) every other job is only good for someone who is desperate for cash and/or thrives on monotonous work. You cannot grow in their “entry level” positions, it feels impossible with all the competition. 

Management has questionable practices as well. It does not matter what your contract states, they will essentially do what they want with your “probation.” 

Colleagues may be ready and willing to help you most of the time but it feels like it depends who is asking a question and what the question is. You are told “There are no stupid questions. We’d rather you ask something that’s been asked hundreds of times rather than you get something wrong.” And yet there are times where a question is asked and the answers are incredibly tongue-in-cheek. 

They don't have a clue. Lovely people to work with along with some fun social events is their only strength. Software programs are from the 90's. Processes are complicated and confusing. You essentially get one expert to help you if they are available. The posting will say 25% of your time is responding to customers. It's often 100%, and the customers are vicious. All the while your real workload builds up. Don't get sick or go on vacation because their's no backup. I could go on. 

The other bad reviews based on this organization according to many are unfortunately true. I couldn't believe how hard it was to work for this organization...did not have enough time to learn or get enough training. Some staff members were nice but the work itself was pretty stressful overall...not sustainable or suitable for anyone's mental health in the short, mid, or long term... Work expectations were high and unreasonable for such small pay. There is no work-life balance here.

I've learned a lot about policies, procedures, and work culture. I'm very excited to work for Manion and start my new career. The team is focused on supporting one another and providing exceptional customer service to members. The management and Learning and Development team have been engaging and encouraging in our training development. Overall, I feel welcomed and intrigued to join Manion.

Providing decent training method, team leader non commital to help staff members to grow, bad people management, mpac system is complex unneccessary and poorly design not do any help to claims staffers keep up with all non sense updates. Age and races discrimination is always big factor at claims department in last 10 years or so. No internal candidate ever apply there.

The people and culture are great, but the pay and workload are terrible. There is job security as they can't actually find good/almost any talent so they hold onto what they have. No career progression. They talk about change but nothing ever changes.

Co-workers are great & good team environment.  Management is not so great.  Training could be better.  Job is very demanding.  They have the mentality that the clients is always right.  How can this co-exist in the insurance industry since claims are based on the contractual agreements.
Management allowed clients to be abusive towards staff without consequences!

Fast paced work, each day goes by quickly. The management makes sure that you have the proper training to begin your work. Co-workers are all friendly and welcome you into the company. The managers ensure you have what you need to perform you role and are very supportive. There are many opportunities for advancement within the company.

The workplace is very unprofessional. The management is unfriendly and they talk to us very rudely if work is not completed. There are lots of deadlines and they expect to complete single handedly without anyone’s help. This workplace has provided me with mental stress and I am still recovering.

Manions was a great place to work! There was always a full work load, but everyone was there to help lend a hand. They were slightly unorganized which gave me plenty to do if I had finished a task early. 

Manion's always showed their appreciation to their employees and to their members. I would highly recommend working there.
