MTS was a fantastic place to work and the Retail management and staff I worked with are a very tight team that worked toward the best customer service experience.   
The most enjoyable part of my position was supervising staff, acting as a liaison between the Retail manager and area staff. 
There were 2 types of typical days for me in the position of Retail Training Specialist - First was on site PBX telephone training with the customer and secondly was providing support for Dealer staff that was training customers on site which I also would respond to email and voicemail consultation inquiries.  
Over the years, I have learned so much from this company - customer service - billing, collections, contracts, research, developing, maintaining  and enhancing internal and external client relationship.

Lots of time to research and develop technical communications and computer related courses.  Overall, I was provided the development tools and hardware/software to design relevant hands-on training programs.

Working with in-house operational clients or stake holders was rewarding as clients were generally cooperative and supportive.  I also learned a lot about how the business operated and what tools, processes and skill sets were necessary to be successful.

The most enjoyable part of working at MTS was interacting with the people.  Most were knowledgeable  cooperative and supportive.

The most challenging  aspect was having policies, procedures and product features change prior to and during training delivery.

MTS is a diverse business covering many different job disciplines from Human Resources to field technicians, and a lot in between.  It offers a lot of room to grow professionally and to even shift your career.  The salary and benefits package are quite good, but unlike some provinces you will have to contribute towards them.  Their pension plan is also quite good, but due to the privatization of the entire industry MTS has been going through changes to reduce it's overhead and remain competitive.  This has resulted in some retraction of benefits and the pension plan.

Incredibly diverse workplace with lots of flexibility to get work completed and always great communication from management.  Interesting job duties are varied enough that you never have time to get bored or feel dull about doing any part of the workload.  Always room for advancement in the workplace.

Loved greatly working there, but was on a term contract and they could not keep me on afterwards.

This company has now been sold to Bell. It was very stressful and my supervisor was mean and always yelling at me. I would get phone calls after work hours and I would be getting yelled at for something so trivial and stupid. Very abusive mentally. The other staff were great and everyone knew how they were like but no one could or would do anything about it.

Loved working for the company, they give lots of incentives and create short term goals to help foster healthy competition amongst employees. hardest part of the job is going door to door in the freezing winnipeg winter!

The Years of service gave ample opportunity for personal devellopment and skill growth.

value to the Company.

I came across with many challenging issues which i solved with 100% output.  I had a very nice experience with my co-workers and with my management that ever I had before. Very nice environment and excellent culture which makes us more comfortable.

I worked a one year contract at MTS (BellMTS) as communications manager for a corporate transformation project. I enjoyed the supportive environment, desire for change and willingness to try new ideas for reaching and engaging employees.
