They chew through staff like gum. Training is a joke. I was trained by someone who only had been there a week. Way too much work for the amount of staff. Customers were nicest I've ever seen. They hired me because they were desperate for the busy season, then laid me off as soon as busy season was over. They'll let you stay in the rooms if you live out of town, but treat u like trash if you do. They move you from room to room often, with little to no notice.The co workers are not great. It's a stressful, toxic, backbiting environment. The restaurant will ignore you till last even on your half hour break. The management leave passive aggressive notes to you when you do something wrong, but are near impossible to get a hold of. Constantly avoiding staff and changing their schedule the night before. Upper management is rude. They hate workers rights and run the hotel like a prison. Unless you are born part of the clique you are chewed up and spat out. When I started half the staff had began in the last week. People were asking me how things worked around here after 2 days. Their benefits are a joke because you won't be able to work long enough to get them. They will wring you for all they can get during the season, lay you off;  then ask you to come back next season.

You are expected to know many sectors of the company. Even though you learn the sectors and are willing to work in different areas you are not appreciated for your hard work and commitment to the company. You are treated like a used tool, once your no longer useful your tossed aside like trash. The main owner will not engage you in conversation unless it's to his benefit, example looking good to onlookers by starting up false conversation. You are over worked and under appreciated here. And far too many lies and gossip within the company as well. Be on your toes if you work here and watch your back!

If you enjoy helping others, this workplace is for you! I have worked here for a few years, and I love working with colleagues that all have the same goal in mind. Customer service is the main priority here and I love being able to help others. Working in a "team environment" really makes all the difference.  The resort is a friendly, positive place to work that attracts people from all around the world. I enjoy working in such a unique place- one of a kind!

dealing with different customers every day is one of the greatest factors to consider when looking for something to learn about guest relation services in hospitality industry. This job gave me the opportunity to work flexible, to work with people who has a better knowledge and experience. salary is always on time, never late. I will always be grateful for this company.

I've worked alot of place and at some of the largest chains and smallest properties there are and never have I encountered such a toxic place.
The owner is an absolute rude, miserable, inhumane ignorant slave driver.
You don't get proper breaks, if you get any!
Your co-workers will go out of their way to sabotage you and get you fired, instead of helping you

I enjoy the work I do. My bosses always encourage me to learn skills and improve my communication skills. There are lots of opportunities to make money at this hotel on the beach, not to mention how patient and fun-loving the clientele are.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time as an employee at Manitou Springs Resort & Mineral Spa. Everyone was very helpful & friendly and management always had an open door for communication. So many nice customers and great perks like eating half off meals from their dining room. Would reccommend.

The management are big liars they will try everything to make you stay and work for them,they have nothing to offer and they very cheap..I did not know such misery existed in Canada,before I start there.don't waste your time with theses people,they will pay you very low and never give you your hours.

Going on three years here. Love it!  Great place to work. Awesome benefits throughout the resort for staff. Beach is wonderful. Management is very supportive and helpful. Best move ever...

always something to do, new progressive work experience. Nice job in my opinion it is nice and not too hard on the stress levels. Not asking much and isn’t physically demanding. Management is good too. Its supportive work culture is not that toxic. I enjoy having a good schedule.
