this company is as transparent as the greasy rags found in the darkest corners of this shanty. you are a number make no mistake. they will use you, take advantage then toss you away without warning. as a worker you have grueling hours with high expectations from a management team thats overly blessed and who have zero cares to spread that blessing amoungst the hard workers.  save yourself time and skip passed.

I found Marathon Underground Constructors to be a reliable company with ongoing training and a supportive team. I learned a lot about the oil and gas industr and labour on a drilling team. Not always easy, and sometimes lots of down time while welding took place. I was able to learn so much in the past few years and I appreciate the opportunity that I had with this company.

Marathon has created a unique opportunity for both experienced drillers and labourers just starting out in the field. With the union, they now have the ability to guarantee support and growth within the company that you can’t get anywhere else. The new Southwestern Ontario Vertical division is a fast growing, close knit group of professional workers that are conscience about safety and enjoy providing a quality product for their clients. everything about Marathon is exceptional. From opportunities for advancement to continuing education.  Amazing coworkers and job atmosphere. 

I learnt so much the only about myself and a wide variety of skills and every aspect of drilling. 

The people at Marathon from the management down to labourers are amazing to work with . Marathon is a special place to work. I can say that it was a privilege to work here 

I would wake up early and work late. Sometimes I was out of the city but never minded the hours or going to where they needed me. I loved what I learned from this job and all other construction jobs. 

Had the opportunity to gain experience on large exciting projects during my co-op terms. I then progressed to a Project Coordinator working full time advancing towards Project Manager.  Work was exiting but could be demanding. I learned a lot and was mentored well. Great people in the office and in the field. 

Loved the people in this company. Everyday brought something new. However, the pay was the lowest ever paid and the people you grew to know were released from their position after a year or when the job was completed.

There are a lot of good people in this company. Many good managers. As the old saying goes, one bad apple spoils the bunch, if you work under certain people here you will feel exponentially drained on the daily. Workload and expectations are ridiculous just to get verbal abuse in the end. 

Marathon has amazing project managers , amazing teams of guys that will lift you up , and an over great work environment. It’s hard work, but Marathon is such a great company to work for ,you want to work hard.
