Counted the start up money, Ringed the items being purchased. When an item could not be ringed, entered the code for such item and entered in which department the item came from, Received the money paid for the items and returned change if necessary, Performed transactions with debit or credit card payments at times, During down times, fixed items on the shelves in the store and answered customers questions when asked, Counted the money in the case and balanced the receipts with the total amount of money received for the shift.
During busy times, learned to ring the items being purchased very fast and to count the money being handed and returned the change if necessary with speed. With time, learned to balance the receipts and the total money received in less time, Learned to count money faster.
Co-workers were also competing with work next to me, Advised co-workers on how to improve their customer service skills by such as greeting the customers, asking them if they found everything they came to buy, treat them with respect so the customers can return to the store.
Any part can be hard if it is seen that way, I tried to see every part of the job as an easy task to do.
When customers were satisfied with the services I provided to them and some customers asked which days I worked so they could come to the store.

The coworkers are really the sunshine of this place. 
The administration has no regards for the employees and they fear the higher-up, so nothing improves. I was told by a manager that the sanity of an employee was no reason to be late, or skip a day, no matter the attendancy rate. Store manager also told me that the well-being of an employee was unimportant, and if someone is unhappy with their job, they just need to quit. 
The union also doesn't do much to help employees. 
There are supposed to be raises, but you have to fight harshly to get one, and it's always pretty miserable one. You probably won't get one.
They broke a few laws, including during election time where they wouldn't allow employees to leave to vote/pay them for the voting hours mandated by law.
The list goes on.
Don't work there. Save yourself.

Some managers are very understanding and open to hearing you out. While others don`t. They basically want you to work the most for the least amount of pay so make of that what you will. Although it was fun interacting with other employees as they are all nice and kind. One thing that really turned me off was during covid, as they gave us a pay increase for only one paycheck, and the raises are very minimal. 

Very horribly managed, owners do not care about anything other than turning a profit. Employee welfare is least of concerns at Marche Tau, empty promises in regards to (wages, insurance and advancement). Overall a very stressful environment for minimum wage. I strongly recommend not applying here.

The stress and environment of this workplace is not worth minimum wage. The managers are incompetent and lack proper forms of communication. There were several employees who quit and did not receive the hours they worked for, the managers made it extremely difficult to retrieve the money back. Overall worst place I’ve ever worked. 

Very clean environment, with an energetic and efficient, young and diverse work staff overmatched  by a just as, if even more efficient and fair management. Fair salary and everybody has a chance in climbing the echelon.

is 'ok' for new naturopaths to have experience, they provide a lot of training, and you actually learn a lot about products and health conditions.

Daily work fairly easy you can learn a lot on health food management was okay could communicate a little better with employees. Most enjoyable part is the customers and employees.

I was a doing Work experience there from October 2015 to April 2016 ,it was a fun experience,the employees and mangers were such amazing people if you decide to study over seas in Montreal i would recommend the job.

it was a good experience, i earned lot of new skills as a customer service representative. It was a good work environment and the management team had a lot of experience in the domain.
