A typical day at Market Probe Canada involves sending and responding to numerous emails from people close enough to speak to you directly. The purpose of these emails is to leave a "paper trail" in case senior management wants to blame someone.

One staff member acted as the unofficial eyes and ears of senior management and would not hesitate to communicate to management the smallest error--whether corrected or not--that any other staff member might have made.

A typical day at Market Probe consists of calling current clients of RBC Royal Bank, Canada Post, Xerox and Purolator for client satisfaction surveys

Entering in data of responses from the clients

Arranging follow up calls with managers

Also did some IT (Information Technology) work

Helped fix and troubleshoot computers and telephones

Helped organize broken phones and repaired phones for the employees

Also helped the manager with monitoring employees work ethic and documenting down time/pause time

Market Probe was a telemarketing company in where it was my job to call customers of certain establishments and ask questions for a 3-4 minute long survey. Due to the fact that I was situated at a desk with walls surrounding me, I rarely interacted with those with whom I worked with. The most challenging part of this job was trying to encourage customers to take part in the short survey. By far, my favorite thing about this job was being able to make my own schedule in terms of days, and length of hours worked.

this job is great for people to start with a first job. it however does not let you excel to get further up n the company. The staff and members around were great. The supervisors however did not do their jobs and were getting paid more than the average worker who was doing their work. There were some cases of unfair behavior and terminations to some cases i have witnessed which made me feel uncomfortable residing me to leave on my own terms.

typical day at work is basically doing surveys for different banks and different companies, you learn about how to handle talking to people in different situations and how to solve problems or issues. Management does their job well , co-workers are incredible and enjoyable to be around, hardest part of the job, dealing with people who don't speak english and most enjoyable part is doing surveys.

Such an amazing experience working in a fast pace environment. In the beginning it was very hard to adapt but  it was amazing. The managers and workers collaborated very well.  The hardest part of the job was convincing clients after work hours to do the surveys for us. I have learned to type  fast and stay focused in a fast pace environment.

This job was simple, not challenging. To do the job all information was provided. Lots of talking involved. Be prepared for rejections as I had to indure several of them. Job involved getting customer feedback on certain products provided to us on a daily basis.

As stated above, the flexible work schedules proved very beneficial when it came to balancing the job with school. Despite this, however, there is no work place advancement, the job can become very tedious and boring, and the offices are poorly managed.

This job was a competitive work environment, while always trying to meet a quota at the end of each day. I enjoyed trying to persuade people in order to participate in the survey I was conducting.

i would come in after school and work either 4 or 6 hours depending on their scheduled. i learned how to deal with tough customers. the hardest part of the job was to sit down for most of the job
