Working at MarketLinc means gathering a routine for work. I set myself up in my office, make sure all the calling connections are stable, properly connected and that everything is as it should be. Then every shift begins with a preshift, everyone who is in that night calls one number and we discuss generals, how the team is doing, stats, then we all talk about what's going on with us. Then we begin on the 'dialer'. Calls begin flowing in, we call our customer with all the information we have, and encourage them to upgrade their current cell phone plan with SaskTel. This happens through out the whole shift. However, if we run into any speed bumps or hiccups throughout the night, there is a website all the representatives log into and can discuss any questions; or just to talk about anything going on near us. 
At the end of the night I send in a summary concluding how my night went. (I.e how many sales, what did the customer upgrade to, etc) Then I send that into a group of people, including my Sales Manager.

The hardest part of working here is the lack of job security. You promote different products for different clients in a sales focused environment. If a  client decides they don’t need the services of Marketlinc anymore they will try to place you on another project if their are openings. Unless you are very good at what you do you may not retain full time status. Also they cut hours when it’s slow if you are not selling. You start as a part time agent working every weekend and two evenings a week. If you call in sick they will sometimes call you to come in to make up that time.

I loved working at Marketlinc- Everyone was awesome to work with. Lots of room to grow and advance. Great training, pay and commission was  great . Mgmt really cared about their employees and are very flexible and supportive.  It really is like a big family. I would recommend this company to anyone who likes a call centre environment without all the stress. 

Loved working there and thoroughly enjoyed  the whole team right from sales agents to top Management.

They were a great company to work for. Good benefits. The only real complaint would be the commission set up. Difficult to maintain consistent sales goals depending on the calls you received. Each call was considered a potential sale even though they were improperly transferred and should have gone to tech support. You receive an hourly rate, plus commission. Management great, ongoing training and sales meetings. 
If you are looking for a home-based job and are excellent with sales this would be a good fit.

I worked Mon -Thur night time hours.the same all year long that way it was easy to plan appointments as you always knew what you worked. I enjoyed talking to people. I learned alot more about a computer and was able to to alot of the trouble shooting to problems my self. Some times it was hard to not have some one to talk to when it was slow but there was the chat rooms that you could talk to your co workers thru

I loved working from home and back then we needed to be extra careful to make sure it was legit. The work was great but the manager was very rude and made me feel worthless a lot of the times while I always did my best. The other staff loved my work and always complimented me. 

the company itself was ok, i never really had my heart into it. Just the way it was run. I just did what i was there for and get a pay check. I did my sales best of my ability.

Great people to work with.. Good team atmosphere.

it is a marketing company that allows you to work from home.good for those who want to telecommute

Excellent management makes this a great place to work. The base salary could be better but the commission is ok so it balances out. I left because I was frustrated by the systems and the increasingly rigid "call flow".
