I feel that I have a terrific territory as the connections I make are usually there on future calls. My experience in large cities is that there is often a change of personnel over the year, while here the same folks seem to stay and then I find that my expanding circle of friends make the calls very pleasant.
Most of my training is done over the internet. Initially I thought this won't work, much better to see and speak in person. I must admit that my bosses were and still are right, "WEBINARS" are a terrific way to learn something you're interested in.
I have found that calling my bosses, supervisors and staff a pleasant experience as they made it apparent they would help me. Most of the time the answers I needed were available within a few minutes.
   


I currently work for Store Support and have been with them for about 2 years. Its just part time work, but it is easy to fit into my other work schedule because it is so flexible. Some weeks I have only a few hours and other weeks I have a few days. Never ever the same and I like that part. Always taking on new clients, new stores and new challenges. 

I have a couple stores with a standing appointment and they know they will see me every Thursday morning, but other than that, I can do my work when I feel like it. 

To enjoy this job you really need to be a self starter, able to work independently, and able to present yourself to the stores in a professional manner. 

Store Support has always paid me on time, they pay mileage, and management seems to be very reasonable to deal with. I like working for them and recommend them without hesitation.

I usually do 2-3 calls a day.
Learning about new product lines, or adjusting planograms., or auditing specific skus.
Store support management team both in house and in the field are terrific, knowledgeable, helpful and interested in whatever comments or issues you bring forward.
Culture is great fun, interesting and very educational..
Hardest part of the job is trying to adjust the nuts, or complete the screwing requirements for Dyson product.in cage back up locations.
Being a little older it's harder for me to see, and crouch down to assemble product in these cramped situations.
Job variety and the ongoing meeting and learning about new product lines and calls.

First, pay for your shoes, then, pay to commute to work and expect to travel for at least 45 mins each way to come to work for them, and you don’t get reimbursed only if the map says 75kms at least each way. The scheduler would seem nice at first but expect that their tools are to be valued more than you, you can tell how much pushy she can come across when she asks you to bring back the uniform and tools, and yes, she would ask you “is the tool in there?” Coz she suspects that you would keep it for yourself. Great place to work for for sure. Upside down smiley face. 

I’ve been employed with storesupport Canada for about 3 years.  I enjoy the job tasks assigned and home/ work life balance is easy to maintain. I’ve had the opportunity to travel and see different parts of the country doing work. Opportunity can be there. Colleagues  are pleasant and fun to work with when doing team or partner reline work. Head office does there best to inform and educate employees with new projects.  Supervisors are kind and helpful and approachable when required. Store support Canada is an App based reporting program for easy call logs. That doesn’t use data while working.

Timelines for completion of tasks is short. Frequently Not enough time designated for completion

Nil. No contact with peers or supervisors inless on a webnar outlining tasks

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
My job is part time.  No support ie handheld, tablet.   Use own cell phone and printer.  Orders are filled out on paper

I like having flexible hours and scheduling the work myself. It's a very independent job. I also enjoy the variety and working on projects for different brands. The people I meet in stores are generally very nice and it's fun  getting to meet people.  Management seems very nice as well. Any time I've had a question, my supervisor gets back to me pretty quickly. The job isn't very hard. You just have to manage your time properly and get your assignments done by the deadline.

I enjoy working for Storesupport Canada as it is a job that gives me freedom to work my own schedule. I have a great repour with the management of both the company and the stores I visit with. The job is not complicated but it is very part-time and the only issue I would say is not having good WIFI or a good phone contract as you can use up more data than what your getting paid. All in all I recommend this company if your looking for a flexible work schedule and freedom from closed in offices.

I have worked for Almost every merchandising company out there and this is by far the best. The managers are great and always on your side and there to help. Supervisor was awesome!! Work load was moderate and they always allowed enough time to do the work. The only downfalls were lots of slow no work times.  Also I wish they would have paid more. Alot of jobs were only 30min jobs which meant you get paid $ 7.00 for that job.  Wish they would value and pay there merchandiser more. Instead of overpaying head office employees.

I have enjoyed the 2 years of working with this company.  I am able to manage my own schedule so long as I meet the deadlines.  The training for the projects in very good.  Management and supervisors are always available 24/7 to provide guidance, answer questions of sort out difficulties.  I find the over all culture of the company to be respectful.
