This is a fast paced environment with lots of stress and will require you to manage your time as well as prioritize tasks accordingly. 

At the time of this writing the company is still in th process of defining an employee culture for itself however in doing so have managed to leave negatively affect how the employees are treated due to all the changes. 

A positive outcome with working for this company is that you will gain experience faster than most other companies and be able to expose yourself to a lot more in a short period of time.

In the years that I was with Marketwired, the one thing that I truly appreciated was the work-life balance that it provided. Management was always supportive of our family lives. Having the main office in Toronto presents challenges, especially for a company that makes the effort to bring the offices together and create one team in different locations.

Small to Medium sized IT team wherein most of the employees does not stay long. 
A weird organization where lay off happens through out the year which dampens morale of other employees who are always worried about their job.
In the last ten years, management has changed company's name several times. You can guess yourself.... why a company will change its name frequently.

Recent organization changes means high turn-around.  Insecure working environment.  Management doesn't clearly state the direction the department is going.  Speculation leads to uncertainty and poor morale in the office.

Forced to work 8 1/2 hour shifts every day with a half hour lunch even though it was a a salaried position. Toxic management culture with supervisors who regularly abused their positions of power.

Great people and a great place to work until Sr Management restructured and had very little idea of the services we offered.

Good fast paced work environment.  Department is faced paced and great people.  More opportunity with in company would be a bonus.

company has been through lots of changes within the past year, but eventually it will get to where it wants to go in terms of having that start-up culture.
