Coming into this employment, I thought it would be just another minimum wage job that a typical college student like me have to inevitably go through. However, I have learned tremendously from this experience. Though management was laid back (enabling me and several colleagues to go through shifts without supervision), there was clearly bias in treatment. It was not fair game for everyone. 

The most enjoyable part of the job is the free lunch. This cut back my expenses, allowing me to save that for more important fees. Also, I bonded with two of the colleagues and made great friendships with them.

The job outline did not specify the amount of stress I have to go through to prevent myself from being sacked. There are days where I had to serve, or do dishes for 400+ people. During peak times, the company is still underemployed. This resulted in me having to do a job of 3 other people, and by the end of the work day, I had zero interest in living a normal life.

Though it was draining, the reason why I quit was from the apathy I got from my employers. When I resumed school full time, I have sent in multiple requests for hours cut so that I could concentrate on school life. Not only that my requests were denied, but they were ignored completely. I was forced to quit without a 2-week notice due to a decline in mental health.

Having to deal with high-class customers who treat me poorly, my experience at Marriott has been nothing short of eye-opening.

I go to work and do my job to the best of my ability. If I have questions I ask and hopefully get an answer quickly. This position has added knowledge of a different system use for me. This will help my resume for other positions. 

The hardest part of the job is trying to keep the sports teams players quiet. This can be frustrating because most of the parents (hockey in particular) don't seem to care about disturbing other guests or making a mess that staff has to clean up. 

The most enjoyable part of the job is the friendly and helpful staff. If I have a guest problem that needs further attention I can usually get someone to take on that responsibility without any questions.

IFor me Marriott is one of the best company in the Hotel business, especially if every hotel management will know how the workers especially the room attendants  feel who are always get more of the work pressure. Pressure from work , from guest and from supervisors who is rushing them to finish the rooms but rooms are not always clean or normal, sometimes it's really messy that it takes 1 1/2 hour to finish it and I wish they can do something about how to help room attendants...they do but, not always.

Overall working here can be hard, as keeping up with conversion metrics can be difficult, but is rewarding when you finally get into the "groove". My worst experience though came when I had been promised they would work with my school schedule, but did not work as quickly and effectively as they had stated. I had to resend my school schedule 7 times. This is unexceptionable when it was a key feature when I was applying. Otherwise, it is a very mentally requiring job, so do not apply if talking is not your thing.

Marriott Hotels and Resorts is a fantastic company to work for. It's a place where you can wear many hats and pursue growth and development within the organization. 

To put it simply, Marriott has the edge in retaining highly educated employees and shapes each candidate for future platforms within the industry and outside it's forum

Procative and fun enjoying my stay here in Jackson Marriott working in the desk also helping others. Also in Philippines I been On-the-Job training under the housekeeping I have a experince in the houekeeping super fun aslo and I love want I'm doing. I want to stay more here in USA, or I want to work in Canada or anywhere. But The only think problem is my visa cause it's only J1 visa. Is there anything else to help me to change my visa and I can work in your comapny. Its my pleasure to in hotel. I'm a working hard to to help you're company.

A typical day at work for me was always solving problems as an IT Business Systems Consultant. 

There is a solution to most Systems issues and both management and co-workers were awesome to work with.

The most enjoyable part of the job is the relief to Systems Users after having their problems solved or the look on their faces when they get to see the new updates run through scripts in less time than it took them manually!

Every day can be different which it consist of interacting with guess, co-worker, an management on daily basis, this is apart of my everyday routine.  Other are things through out the week I handle entering data for the various areas that I cover like Front Desk, Accounting etc....

I am a positive individual and enjoy my different task, the hardest part is when the system goes down and we have to go into over drive ensuring all goes well. 

I work with a great company and group of people and for that my job is enjoyable

With a lack of leadership the restaurant operation was average at the most. Lots os challenges were not attacked whether  because of general manager or the board of directors but it was interesting to experience at least all this problems as it made me aware that not very place is professional nor according to expectations.

It is a good company to work for, pay good wages, you have your uniform always clean and organized. 
The whole hotel is always very clean, as the employee area as well, but I do not see many opportunities for new employee, and the schedule of work is based on seniority, the older staff have more hours, and this discourages new ones to stay long months without shifts available.
