I had a disappointing experience during my time at Masco, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts in hopes of shedding light on some serious issues within the organization. 
Firstly, the pace of work was surprisingly slow, which made it difficult to maintain motivation and engagement. There seemed to be very little support from management or colleagues, leaving many employees feeling isolated in their roles. It was disheartening to witness how certain individuals were favored and seemingly protected by the president, allowing them to sidestep responsibilities while the rest of the team carried the workload. This lack of accountability fostered a toxic atmosphere and undermined team morale.
Collaboration and inclusion were sorely lacking. The environment did not encourage open-minded dialogue or the sharing of ideas, which is essential for a thriving workplace. Communication was consistently poor, leading to misunderstandings and frustration. The turnover rate was alarmingly high, as many employees left quickly due to these issues. It felt as though people were continuously being fired, which created an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty.
Upper management often made impulsive decisions that lacked input from those actually doing the work. Most employees were new and inexperienced in their roles, which only contributed to the chaos. I frequently felt that my position was in jeopardy, and this micromanagement from higher-ups only added to the stress. As a result, even simple tasks, such as customer reviews, turned into convoluted processes that wasted valuable time.
Masco's reputation with customers also left much to be desired. The focus on metrics over genuine customer satisfaction was evident, and it was disheartening to see the company prioritize processes over people. 
After I chose to leave, the treatment I received was disrespectful and unprofessional. This reinforced my decision that Masco is not a place where employees are valued or supported.
In summary, my experience at Masco was marked by disappointment, a lack of support, poor management, and a high turnover rate. I would not recommend this company to anyone seeking a positive and collaborative work environment.

My time at Masco Canada was a journey of dedication, leadership, and professional growth—until the end, when they treated me far worse than I ever expected. As a Sales Manager, I played a key role in driving business, leading a team, and shaping strategies that contributed to the company’s success. I wasn’t just focused on sales; I built relationships, mentored my team, and worked hard to ensure both the company and our customers thrived. I was fully committed, delivering results and earning respect from my peers and clients along the way.

But when my time there came to a close, the way Masco handled it was disappointing. After everything I had put into the company, they showed little appreciation for my contributions. Whether it was through abrupt decisions, poor communication, or a general lack of respect, they made it clear that my years of hard work didn’t matter to them. Instead of a professional and respectful transition, they left me feeling undervalued and disrespected.

It was a frustrating experience, but unfortunately, it’s a reminder that companies often see employees as replaceable, no matter how much they’ve invested. Still, their actions don’t define my worth. The skills, relationships, and experience I gained at Masco are mine to take forward, and I’m focused on building something better for myself.



Typical and Learned; Opportunities were available if you were willing to give that little bit more.  Many employees were there for over 20 years and enjoyed there co workers, company functions and the environment as a whole

Management; Worked with you to build your career path, gave you space to grow and accepted criticism with solutions to build better relationships 

Cultural; Our CEO new most of our names and our job functions and made a point of chatting when your paths would cross. The organization practices philanthropy and worked with many charities, medical professionals and educational institutes. I collaborated to run different draws to enhance the many charities in the GTA. 

Hardest part; Communicated to clients why products weren't available; i.e. raw materials, packaging components, scheduled compounding, labeling. 

Enjoyable; We felt like it was our home away from home, able to speak and interact with management without the corporate ladder interfering.

I am currently an employee at Masco Canada and I can definitely say this is not a place you want to work. They preach about quality but they do not care what the products look like as long as they get numbers. Not only that, they do not care about their employees. As long as you do a lot of brown nosing you can pretty much do nothing your entire shift while everybody else works. They don't give you heat breaks. They tell u if you're feeling hot you can go sit down but then they penalize you if you do. The workplace is extremely unsafe. They don't care if you are safe. I wouldn't even recommend buying their products because even after we tell them they're not good management still ships them out knowing the quality is garbage. The supervisors like to hold employees 60 day probation over there heads so they can mistreat them. I started with 8 people and I am the only one left. That tells you something. Do yourself a favour and don't even try working there cuz it's a nightmare.

Bathing department is unorganized. 
the more brown nosing, the less thats expected of you.
Safety is only addressed if the supervisors who are never on the floor see it for themselves first hand.

HR allows employees to carry knives(switch blades) that arent company issued and do nothing about it when brought up as a KNOWN issue. the supervisor is afraid to speak up and address it and would rather be brown nosed

Working with fibre glass components,N95 respirators aren't mandatory and respirator training takes months, even though that stuff is toxic.
Union does nothing to support ya and just looks after the lazy employees. Hotter than a weld shop.

this company has selective discipline principals. some people get a free pass and some get fired for things that are equally unsafe. if you're "dumb" and do something unsafe you get a free pass

This is the best management team I have ever been associated with. There might be a disconnect with the production floor and the management team at the moment, but this is due to working from home to keep everyone as safe as possible. I see lots of complaining in the reviews, I can say from first hand experience the management team cares. Quality team is great. People say they only care about numbers, yes of course. If a manufacturing company doesn't produce, nobody get paid. This is a growing company with its share of difficulties, as anyone has, especially during COVID. The challenges are addressed and actively worked on. They want success and if you do, this is the place for you. 

I was working at Masco. I waiting almost 5 months before I got in, they kept pushing my start date back. Once I got in I only worked there for 3 weeks before they let me go due to accusations from another employee. Keep in mind this employee was "suppose" to train me but kept pushing me out of the way. They didn't give me the chance to explain my self or hear my side. Theres absolutely no communication between the Management and Employees what so ever. The words they used was "if so and so dont like you then your gone".

I was hired in to Masco Canada's customer service department in October of 2020. I immediately felt welcomed by everyone.  The culture is amazing! The Executive Leadership team really cares about the people that work for this company.  They are ethical and always act with integrity. The job is very fast paced and the days go by quickly. The pay is adequate with great benefits, profit sharing, and yearly bonus. There is opportunity for advancement if that's what you want. People are happy to work for such a great company. 

	Administration for Canadian Head Office of Delta Faucet.  Includes preparation and tabulation of accurate and timely sales reports for trade sales, quotations and executive management teams. Prepare and update builder marketing presentations, compile and track expenditure of local and national marketing fund programs, maintain agency contracts, builder and contractor programs, rebate letters and brand status reports.

Being a union steward  and having to deal with incompetence from Human Resources and some management
