This facility is the pin up for flavor of the month initiatives. Whatever knee jerk reaction to a problem that is on the radar for the senior leadership team will be the marching orders of the month. However sustain the half implemented fix for the flavor of last month while you work on the new flavor of the month with no support.

Prepare to take direction and orders from many higher ups from all facets of the business that have no idea what’s going on, similar to the blind leading the blind. All of them at any given time will give different marching orders in different directions. Then when the new flavor of the month comes out prepare for everyone to bark orders then disappear off when it comes time to implement. Keep a compass in your pocket as you will be spun in so many different directions. The many layers of brass and road blocks are the key ingredients to this micro managed culture which is evident the moment you set foot in the facility.

No work life balance whatsoever, be prepared to work 10 hour days and weekends consistently.This place is the definition of insanity, worst culture ever.

A typical day at work for me is answering inbound calls about order and product concerns. Receiving and processing time sensitive orders. Trouble shooting design concerns with dealers. Working with coworkers in other departments to ensure orders are correct and go through the system quickly.
I have learned several different types of computer systems that are specially for MasterBrand, as well as the intimate details of cabinet making.
Management is good to work with. Mutual cooperation is necessary and easily done. Cooperation with co-workers is also essential to the completion of the orders and customer satisfaction.
The hardest part of this job is sometimes getting exactly what the customer wants or needs, not just in design but in time-line as well. We strive to get the job complete and make the customer happy.
In turn, the most enjoyable part of the job is getting the customer what they want when they need it. Also hearing from a customer that they are happy with our product is always a good thing and makes the day better.

If you’re not a favourite, have fun. All they care is about numbers, which is fair but at the same time, safety and quality comes into play. Would not buy from here in my opinion, I was a builder and the things they let slide is embarrassing. Don’t get me wrong there’s a few people that actually care about the product and respect the workers but very little compared to the “numbers” guys. Laid off 120 people just before X-mas with roughly half of them being working there for 10+ years, couple with 30+ years surprisingly. More than likely because they had high hourly wages compared to the new batch of people they hired a few months before that. Left a bad taste in my mouth

You start of with an area meeting and stretching. My day consisted  of figuring out what material the table saw operator needed and it was my responsibility to drive a forklift to grab the material, load it to my saw then proceed to cut down various sizes for table saw use. Co-workers are fun and enjoyable so if your looking for humor in the workplace Master Brands may be the place for you. The hardest part of my job was working alone the sheets of material that need to be cut down on average weighs 130 lbs per sheet and they expect you to do it by yourself and not complain bout back problems. Management needs improvement, lack of communication between management and production workers

Until most of mangemen is removed, the circus will continue with a revolving door of good employees leaving or being fired for insane reasons. Too many people with no experience leading the gong show. Share holders are happy but the workforce morale is redicous low. Some of the issues in the workplace are so bad you wonder how some of the workers are mentally secure.Cleaning the washrooms or using the washrooms would make you think there is some deranged or demented people.

I moved around the panel processing department over the years, starting on edgebanders, then to drills and eventually covering the co-ordinater when needed. Most of the management where good to work with and when asked for training when needed, there was never a problem. I enjoyed working for Masterbrand and was upset when the mother company decided to move it state side.

Too much poltics at top level managment directionless..Associates are friendly and hardworking..General manager is professional man but surrounded by inefficent think tank and sycophants..If few top level managment people are removed this company can do wondors.

Starts my work at 4pm to 12:30am, multi-culture friendly co-workers, supportive management that is really concern for the safety of their workers,
