Mastercuts

This company on the outside looks great, they seem like a wholesome family friendly company. They hire you on and promise you eventual raises and positions moving up in the company. It all looks amazing. You start and find out all this was a lie. they tell you these things to get you started and keep you around with these lies. The company has tiers of different salons. Some being Lower level more affordable some being higher level with more expensive prices. They take care of their so called "luxury salons" that is their main focus, they could be working on the lover level salons to make them better and succeed, and help their stylists move up or just become better stylists. The stylists work on either hourly or commission which sounds awesome you always are making some money. But you only make minimum wage and their commission standards are so high no one, not even the most booked stylist, can make an extra 1.50 an hour. This is not a company i would recommend working for.

There were lots of slow day's at work. Im thinking because of the location, and the fact that it was a new salon grand opening. As for these slow day's, i would constintly advertise the shop by either walking around, talking to people and greeting client's in the salon with a warm welcoming..The co-worker's that i worked with at the time weren't very energetic, therefore, i would do anything to go out of my way and get them in the mood to making the business as successfull as it could be. I've learned that team work is deffinitly a big part of a busness.

I found the people i worked with for the most part to be pleasant and nice. I enjoyed working with clients and I enjoyed the work. However i had zero days off, management wasn't up to par, and I was unsatisfied with the lack of acknowledgment to any concerns, requests or comments asked by the staff. I found it a negative workplace.

Was fun place to work till they gave us a bad manager and laid everyone off. I don’t think that fair. They never had product and never had time for us to learn more 

Having a friendly fun and professional day around employees and customers
Can be busy sometimes
Learning how to blend in haircuts
Coworkers are patient, understandable, good teachers and helpers, funny and alot of fun
Serving our customers is a good part of the day

Not that great of a company, I became manager when current manager got sick, was thrown into the position with no training, good thing I'm a fast learner and paid attention to what management was doing before hand. Lots of gossip and drama.

Was amazing time working with the staff of mastercuts and enjoyed my work place ..

I loved it there, I learned new techniques from our annual training, hardest part of the job was when we had no manager, my coworkers were really great people, our district manager at the time was negatively reinforcing us a lot of the time, our manager Kim was great

Great people to work with, Boss is very good to work for. The company makes sure your up to date with product knowledge and trends that are on going every year.

making sure my clients are happy and please what i done with their looks. and making sure they will enjoy my company  in time they will come back to my chair.
