Terrible family to work for. If you want to be called at home on your days off because the department ran out of an item then work for them. If you want to be written up for being 2 mins late for work, work for them. They are very petty about any little thing. They expect zero non-work related talk between staff. Ever since the owners allowed a family member to run the store they can no longer keep staff. Most staff that had been there for 10+ years quit. No one wants to work for them. There's a reason they post Full-time job postings every other week. Very toxic environment. Ownership are bullies!

This is an excellent company and family to work for with their community involvement, employee support and hands on involvement with their business. Having been in the community for more then half a century, they have solidified themselves as a loving and caring business. They have excellent customer relations and treat their staff with respect and admiration. They are supportive and have hired a team that works exceptionally well together.

The store's reputation for gossip and toxicity definitely comes from upper management. The staff here are good, well-meaning people. Upper management, however, is a mess. They have no patience for new-hires and no respect for their hardest working employees either. They assume the worst of some, play favourites, gossip and try to pit employees against against one another. Working here was detrimental to my mental health.

a lot of discrimination. was the only black employee. everyone there was just sad and seemed like they didn't want to be there. the work place culture and management was definitely not a welcoming. 

The people were very nice and was a nice place to work! The early mornings were hard but other that that everyone was really nice and helpful when i first started the position.

McKeen's Metro was a decent place to work for minimum wage. The other employees were nice and there were no issues with management. Changing hours was easy, and the daily tasks weren't stressful.

I love working there. Flexible hours. Really nice people. And it is close to me so it was easy for me to get there. And you always have something to do.

This place had a horrible impact on my mental health. The management is some of the most miserable people I have ever seen and the gossiping among the staff is terrible. 

Good employes and good management. They offer flexible hours, and the ability to change departments. For a minimum wage job, it is a pretty decent place to work.

Never a dull moment with great staff and nice customers. You get to know everyone around the store and eventually get to know the customers. Worthwhile
