Medicine Hat Regional Hospital

A typical day starts at various times, gather my supplies then work begins. I have learned that no matter the challenge there is always a positive outcome with a new experience. The co-workers are easy to get long with and to work with but when problems arise they are always easy to talk to in order to sort out the issue. Management is fantastic always there for their employees. The hardest part of the job is the physical strain but nothing that I cant handle. The most enjoyable part of my day is seeing my finished work with smiles on the faces of others

I am lucky enough to work with a team of professionals who provide a positive environment to not only work but to also learn.  The unit team as whole is well organized and highly experienced and skilled.  I always felt I would not be pushed into an unsafe situation by being given a work load or patient assignment that was beyond my experience and my co-workers are always willing to help when needed.

working with Alberta health services is a great experience, i would recommend anyone of any age or with any interests to look into all the different types of jobs that are available within the hospital. most of the time its easy to not think out the "behind the scenes" jobs that actually keep everything in order and clean. i found that everyday i worked at the MHRH i learned something new.

Having accepted a casual contract, I expect not to work many hours-- I had many weeks where I worked far more than full-time.  I loved it!

They have an excellent system in the food services department which assigns a number to you, daily.  This number tells you your hours, what your duties are for the day (so nothing gets missed), and when your breaks are.  Very efficient.

It was good doing the job as the nurses were all good to work with.Some co-workers were a little awkward but the majority were good. The hardest part of the job was being around death.  I worked the ICU floor and Peadiatrics floor.  The most enjoyable part was having the nurses or patients tell you how good of a job you were doing.

The Co-workers we nice and trained me well, they are helpful when I ask for help. The managers were helpful at times. What I learned at to have a fast pace to make a time line to meet.  The hardest part of my job was to be a fast pace. 
I did enjoy my job there because of the people, and the part I did not enjoy was the weird hours.

Everyone that work's their along well with each other with little issues ever happening. The work isn't for people with a weak stomach but if you can handle what you see / smell it is a great place to be working.

Mornings can be very busy, but I found the work to be very fun and fulfilling.  I found my supervising therapists to be very approachable and easy to talk to. They were also very good at giving me constructive criticism to do my job better.

Terrible management  Not a healthy work environment. Toxic. Management abuse their power and treat the employees like garbage. Union doesn’t help either just doc the pay for dues but are not there to help the employees.

Medicine Hat Regional hospital is a great place to work. The staff all work and support each other in order to maintain the best patient care possible. Each member I worked with was compassionate about their careers, approachable, and friendly.
