The attractive front look of this company gives the WORST experience of a life time and that is solely due to incompetent supervisors, managers and team leaders whom have not even gone to business schools nor have any management education and no managerial skills.

Just a little power given to many insecure ladies who are much more interested to gossip around the office and to spread rumours @ Executive Health Department is what they do best to easily give a bad image to Telus Health Corporations- unprofessionalism is a normal behaviour by the team leaders at Telus Health Corporations! How nice it would have been to put people in charge whom actually held a Degree in Management field and whom had the managerial skills- people who would be with innovative vision and the business mindset capable to execute the vision and the plans of this company in professional way!!! But UNFORTUNATELY this company actually puts just anybody in charge of Executive Health department and gives them titles of  ‘ NURSE Team Leader/ managers/ supervisors ‘ !! If Telus Health goes on like this at the Executive Health Department with these type of managers in charge of Management Roles, the company will continue to loose a lot more money yearly on training staff  and the employees don’t even last there long enough to produce profit due to incompetent managers with no skills and proper education!!!

Having been with Medisys for over 4 years, the growth and progress I've witnessed has been incredible. Leaders are constantly working on initiatives to enhance patient care and improve the work environment for staff members. The two directors at the Vancouver clinic have always been deeply supportive. When you share an idea, you are commended for it and encouraged to pursue it. They won't micro-manage but will offer support to help you see your idea through. It is very empowering. 
In many companies, the higher up you are, the more out-of-touch you can become. However, the CEO makes a notable effort to keep an open line of communication with staff across the country. I can't imagine it's easy to do this, but the effort he puts in is undeniable.

I worked with Medisys in Calgary for 6 months as a lab technician / casual position. Poor management ever seen. Hours of work entered in Nethris timesheet software are reduced behind your shoulders from the management. When asked for this change in hours of work done no one admits it who did but they try to put back what they deducted from you. Maybe that was done many times prior I discovered it. There are many questions that need an answer, but the management is not able to answer. I resigned from this company by giving two weeks notice. I asked the management one month later for a work reference, no reply. Same with HR, no reply. No support for employees that leave the company on their own decision. I feel like I am being treated with NO RESPECT at all
Not worthy to work for such company where respect is lacking and they deduct your money for the hours you are asked to work.

Medisys is a great place where you can learn a great deal in a very little time. I think it's an ideal workplace for people who want to learn, grow and get increasing reponsabilities in their everyday work. 

It's a fast paced environment, which can be stressful at times, but the team members who all work together makes up for it. 

There's a great vibe in the office, colleagues are friendly and team members become almost like a 2nd family, plus managers are easily approachable and believe in their employees' capacities. 

As a "millennial", I can definitely say that Medisys is on the right path in regards to what our generation is looking for as far as work experience! Plus the company serves a great purpose: saving people's lives!

This is a place where you can rapidly progress and gain 5 years' worth of experience in one year. Medisys is a school if you are prepared to learn. Especially in the professional roles you will be given a lot of latitude to do and create. Expectations are high. It's not a walk in the park - there is a lot of change and a lot to do.  But because it's a mid-size company you can really make your mark and see things through from start to completion. No other place will give you this much experience in such a short time.

Those who thrive here are engaged self-starters and are able to roll with the punches while having fun.  People here and teamwork are fantastic and has a real family feeling.

The hardest part here is a lot of change - that's the only constant.  But we are getting better at managing it.

There's no growth what so ever. So expect to be stagnant your whole career there. 
They are stingy in giving any hours or even granting you a full-time employee position with any benefits no matter how long you've worked there.
You're hard work and kindness goes UNRECOGNIZED...
Work is repetitive and no growth or challenges to help you learn and improve yourself. YOU WILL deteriorate and become depressed because the company doesn't give a DAME about you! BEWARE.
(Though the staff there are very supportive and help you get through it all. I love the staff there, some amazing people who need to be treated properly there and the company doesn't deserve them, honestly) The staff members help you get through the stress and irate you'll have to through there and it's inevitable.

I have been working at Medisys for almost 3 years and have found the entire team supportive and collaborative.  The last few months felt like somewhat of a transitional period, specifically with the change in leadership and overall direction of the company.  There have been bumps along the way and I am happy to see former colleagues find work environments better suited to their own personal preferences.  The recent changes have definitely lead me to feel more confident than ever with the current team as well as within my role, improving my long term outlook for (and with!) the company.  This has been a much needed change for overall culture, climate and morale!!

This must be one of the worst companies to work for. Managers have no management nor leadership experience. They also do not have any  medical knowledge nor experience.   Managers  have no clue what they are doing. They also go skiing  and shopping together during work hours while others are left to figure things out on their own. No support, no direction. 

HR department is the worst. HR leader has no idea about people nor the culture. They do not listen nor care. They do not return emails nor calls.  

This company is a revolving door. The turn over rates are through the roof.

Vancouver clinic is falling apart and nobody cares.

The hardest part has been so far all the changes in the past few years, but now we are hitting our stride and things are starting to significantly turn around now that we are part of the Telus Health group of families. The future is friendly :-)

I have been working at Medisys in Vancouver for three years, and have always found it to be a friendly and positive work environment. There have been some recent changes in management, which feels like a positive shift in culture within the Vancouver clinic. 

A typical day at work can be fast paced, but the collaborative team helps ensure the days run smoothly. 

As a clinician, I've found working with engaged and forward thinking clients keep my job ever evolving. 

The best part about the clinic is the staff truly practice what they preach regarding preventive health. We have a motivated team of health minded colleagues, always eager to discuss trending research.
