Typical day at work is, Come in see what needs to be picked to load on truck, pick orders for the trucks being loaded later and serve customers as do so. Equipment used is, overhead crane, forklift, hand bombing, shunt truck.After lunch load trucks. Make run lists for each trailer loaded,
I learned a lot, it's a job you never stop learning which I enjoyed.
Good management.
Hardest part of the job was reversing trailer into shop.
I enjoyed learning and loading the trucks. I enjoyed coming up with more and more ways to do the job better and faster.

Metalium is a company with significant issues in its workplace culture and leadership. My experience was marked by a lack of clear direction, ineffective communication, and a leadership team that seemed largely unaware of their own shortcomings. Management often failed to provide guidance or support, leaving employees feeling undervalued and frustrated. There was little accountability or willingness to address these systemic issues, which created a toxic environment for those trying to contribute meaningfully.

Dont go there if you value your sanity management’s uses and abuses intimidates,,,harasses,toxic work environment , in Gatineau and customers service is not very good  a 5 minute wait is now a 35 minute wait And no covid-19 restrict in place basically a junk yard for steel..


You are surrounded with all kind of metal well organized with rack and space for everything it make the place safer to work well paid and good benefits 

Everyday we would show up on a different job site and go through a quick safety meeting and orientation. I learned a lot about sheet metal siding and roofing.

Nothing to tell in particular,
It was a small company and nothing to achieve, nothing to do except the phone calls and filling .
