What is the best part of working at the company?
My co-workers and management. Always looked forward to seeing them and loved my job. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Deadlines always stressful but always managed to get it done.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Family and health first. Respect from the team.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I worked in the office, counted the tills, did the cashier report cards and opened the tills. Put out stock when needed and planograms.

anti-union // anti-worker // high level of layoffs regardless of how you work. 

Make sure you market your labour higher, YOU deserve to be paid well. It wouldn't be as bad mentally if I were to be paid a liveable wage.

management was known to exploit hours
low pay, high stress, little breaks, social stress from management, weird coupon ToS - it was a constant back and forth between the ToS and customer understanding and rules.

so many issues so little I care about to write more of anymore.

I enjoyed working at micheals. It was my first retail job and I put my all into it. I had great experiences with the other employees and didn’t have any trouble with the management until the employee review. I was told that I work too slow and that there are tons of things to work on, despite being one of the faster workers there and having no prior input on my work/pace. It’s a nice environment to get some experience, however I wouldn’t work here again. 

I've been harassed, I've been abused and attacked by a so called manager (for no reason other than asking for help on my first and second day of  work) who didn't know what she was doing to start with.... It was the worse work place I've ever seen.  I would not recommend this place at all.  There is a lot more to write about but I'll stop here ....

I had a few unique experiences like when i was left on till for 20 min, no managers or co workers responded to me asking for another worker and the line was SUPER LONG. I remember calling in to ask and all the customers were looking around wondering where everyone else was. Apparently 2 managers took a lunch break at the same time, and the other manager and a co worker went to the bank leaving me alone in the whole store during the busiest time.

A typical day at work was enjoyable, fun, and most importantly productive. The managers are accessible and the entire environment is very positive making it comfortable for new employees and customers. The team is amazing. Teamwork and collaboration are two attributes that best describe my working experience at Micheal's.

It was lots of fun working there. I had fun and learned a lot working with the managers and other employees. The environment is very productive and efficient which is always amazing. I had lots of help when i didn't understand or didn't know something i could just ask someone everyone was very helpful.

A fun place to work if your a creative person and imaginative, you can help customers who have ideas but not sure of products to use and how to accomplish their vision. They have so many departments from yarn, to jewelry, wedding, floral, art supply the list is endless.

when I used to work at Micheals, I loved coming to work due to the staff and the work environment. I loved the people that used to come to the store because most of them were old men and women and i use to engage in conversation with them. The reason why I left was because I was moving to Toronto.

Great place to work, great environment with friendly people! The most enjoyable part is being cashier, the interaction you get with customers and making sure they had a good in store experience.
