Pro's:

- Good work/life balance (8:30am-5pm).  Rarely have to stay late and if you do, overtime pay is provided
- Many nice ppl who work at the Company, including the owners
- Steady work ( decent job security )
- Easy work (sometimes a Con).  A place where you can take your hour lunch and 15 breaks on a daily basis
- Laid back/casual attitude and dress code.

Con's:

- Zero chance for advancement (and they tend to advance the wrong ppl). No internal postings or HR department, which is shocking for a company of this size
- Repetitive work. Not what you would call exciting
- Managers who are under-qualified and do very little to impress unless you are friends or family (nepotism is a HUGE problem) 
- Little incentive for you to work hard.  Employees are given the same/small cost of living increase, regardless of performance.

Overall a very good company to gain high experience as an on-site technician. I enjoyed being a part of a friendly team and learned excellent customer service skills. Management was fair and co-workers were very nice. The hardest part of this role was handling projects and 4 hour deskside tickets along with imac tickets (new laptop/desktop/printer installs. The most enjoyable part of this role was performing onsite work face to face with clients.

At Microage working as onsite tech is fun. Accessing and resolving issues for users at all over Canada and international with remote sessions is mind blowing experience. Management and co-workers too great to work with. Hardest and most enjoyable part of this job is to provide support to users in India. It was hardest to schedule meetings with users in India but it is enjoyable because i learn lot from it.

I learned to Configure and repair printers as per client specifications. I also learned how to configure Laptops and Desktops over the network. I also learned to be a team player. I did wok a lot on my own with minimal supervision. The most enjoyable part of my job is to meet my deadlines and have high client satisfaction.

This is a terrific place to work right now. Significant growth in the last year or so. Lots of opportunity to grow your career and job. Lots to do specifically in the sales department. Exciting industry and always changing. I truly enjoy the people I work with and everyone works as a team. 

Compensation is fair and based on performance.

Team oriented IT Support with broad-based hands-on-skills experience in successfully resolving technical issues with desktop users that includes installation, configuration and troubleshooting.  Deep knowledge of current desktop, laptop and operating systems, firm wide standard applications and utilities.

The entire business is simply amazing to work for. The staff is great, the customers are always enjoyable to work with. It has been a pleasure working for this great company.

Some days are not as enjoyable, and sometimes stressful, depending on the situations we encounter. 

Regardless of the good and bad days, I will greatly miss working here.

I can strongly say that this company is the best place I have every worked for. I was based at the Essar Steel plant. The co-workers were absolutely the best. They were so much help. I can't stress enough how much I liked working there.

Work/life balance is great, never required to stay after 5 but there are zero chances of advancement. The stress level of the job is pretty low, benefits are not great, average.

lots of indians who will chop the head off the chiefs.  mgmt hands are tied when it comes to putting organizational changes in place because of the lack of quality staff members.  cant afford to lose them, and the staff knows that
