What is the best part of working at the company?
Learning the different trucks and troubleshooting issues. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Contracted covid and was sent home. Techs more concered with their task than co-workers health. Did not return. Ticket style system means you are stuck on that job and cannot get help from your co-worker as easily. Pace and expectation level of mechanics. Sometimes emotional reactions. Lower pay than vision truck centre. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Selfish structure. Ticket style system means you are stuck on that job and cannot get help from your co-worker as easily. System kept crashing and cstalogue could go down. Still expected to lookup parts without main computer catalogue. Pace and expectation level of mechanics. Sometimes emotional reactions. Lower pay than vision truck centre. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Take a ticket from the queue and work on it until done. Parts catalogue fails constantly. Mechanics in a rush to complete work.

Working at Mid-Ontario has been an exceptional experience, not just because of the work but also because of the people. As a mechanic at the busiest Volvo and Mack truck dealer in North America, I enjoy a high-energy environment with ample overtime opportunities. What truly makes Mid-Ontario special is its vibrant and supportive team. Everyone is not only skilled but also incredibly friendly and fun, creating a genuine family-like atmosphere. Colleagues are always ready to lend a hand and share a laugh, making every workday enjoyable and memorable. Mid-Ontario is more than just a workplace; it’s a place where I feel welcomed and part of a close-knit family.

The management of this company is the absolute worst I have ever seen in many  years as a mechanic coming from several different other well known establishments, it almost like they hire people here just to see them fail and give nothing for the success of the employees , if you are looking to be stabbed in the back and love to feel on edge ever single day well then mid Ontario is the place for you , if you love to hate your boss and get micro managed all day everyday the doors are open to anyone and everyone , the pay sucks and don’t you dare turn the shop heaters any higher than 10 degrees C or else !!!!

The training was good and really helped me get a better job.

Terrible management is the worst part.

Very belittling and constantly put down by un qualified management.

Very long can’t wait for it to end .

The  co workers are all very friendly and easy going !

There is Nothing at the moment !

Great place to work, owners make sure employees know they're valued and appreciated. Structure, stability, and support provide confidence knowing you're working somewhere that has the potential for a long term career and advancement.    

Good environment
Great shop with all the tools needed to do the job
Good support system from manager and rest of the team
Flexible and understanding of your needs and issues 

mangement is not that great mostly you won't feel rewarded for your work, very had to get pay raise. night shift has very bad supervsion. overall its an okay place to work
