This is a toxic place to work with high turnover and low morale. Don't expect to get to know anyone from head office for long because they come and go quickly. There's no point in getting to know their name, as you will just be learning another one in a few months anyways. Everything is a cost to cut, especially when it comes to employees. You are expected to do the job of 5 people, but be paid for only 1. Management puts on a nice face from time to time, but when something goes wrong, they are quick to blame people, even if the issue has nothing to do with them. HR can't be trusted as they are part of the problem. Job threats are common, appreciation is low, and the demands get bigger while the cuts become more consistent. I have been sworn at, lied to, and blamed for things I have little or nothing to do with. 

This is a really rough culture where accountability doesn't exist. Everyone has learned that if you want to survive, you have to be quick to blame someone when something goes wrong, before someone blames you. Its sick and pathetic. 

For a health care company, management, from the CEO down, they don't care about you at all, and are active contributors to workplace mental burnout and mental health issues. They laugh at, and dismiss the idea that they need to treat people better. You are only there to make the owners money, and they will squeeze every drop of dignity out of you to make an extra penny. 



Typical Day at Work

Fast-paced and detail-oriented, involving pharmacist first work flow which allows you to provide excellent patient care and practice pharmacy in an extremely rewarding manner.

7.	Leadership: Driving workflow improvements and mentoring staff.

Supportive and approachable, providing the necessary resources and being responsive to feedback. They genuinely care about staff and patients.

Multi-tasking at every point in the day is definitely required.

I've been working as a pharmacist with MINT for about 2 years. Since joining MINT, I can say for certain that their leadership  truly works with you to ensure job satisfaction and opportunities for growth if that is what you're looking for in your career.
It is great to work with passionate coworkers who care about the pharmacy services they can provide, and to help foster the health of their community. Ensuring a healthy work culture is very important, and I am so happy to have such a hardworking and supportive team with likeminded goals and values.


The work itself is stressful but not impossible. A typical day is checking prescriptions and talking to patients. It’s the culture that is so toxic. The CE0 and his director of operations are not seeing things the same way as the rest of the company. The managers in the pharmacy and the staff are very nice. The hardest part of the job is dealing with the upper management and having to fix all their errors and work with thier constant changes. The best part is the people we work with.

The family like atmosphere at the head office, small but professional.

Very little guidance when it came to new procedures.

The atmosphere was casual but still professional.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I was a jack.of all trades and simply did everything asked of me.

A typical day at work includes accepting pharmacist led walk ins and seeing patients for minor aliments as well as operating as a typical pharmacy. Ive learned lots about the ins and outs of travel pharmacy and its been very interesting! Management here is excellent and always looking for ways to challenge you and to ensure you work to your full scope. I feel listened to and cared for. 

Working with Mint has been a positive experience. Since starting, I've feel very supported and embraced by both leadership and employees alike. The company is progressive with a diverse culture, and growing quickly. People seem generally happy, and there are many opportunities for advancement, especially for students through Mint's student employment programs. 

They have a great mission for patients but once hired, even when you want to excel and do your job responsibilities it is hard because you can't have a proper training. They're not a regular pharmacy so it is hard to learn what really needs to be learned. even though you're a fast learner. How I wish they can have a proper training so it doesn't feel being thrown under the bus. 

For the first time in many years I have found a team that cares about Outreach Pharmacy as much as I do. Vulnerable populations require a team. You need to add love on top of every prescription. Lives Matter and Harm reduction is a top priority. If you can rise to the challenges that Mint Health + Drugs have everyday then this is a not a job it is a collective and a family.

Great place to work and start your career as this is an actively growing company that wants everyone to succeed and prosper. Very collaborative and wanting to establish best practices in pharmacy practice to be a cut above!
