I like the night rotation,  no management just working with you colleagues

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Nosy staffs and demanding patients

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It can be toxic due to high level of stress working in acute care setting especially medicine unit

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I receive report from outgoing nurse and i start with my patient round, review nursing report and check labs and report any untoward incident during your shift.

Perform patient research from the patient charts.
Listen to morning reports and take notes of important information.
perform patient care and assessment.
Set patient up for breakfast and ensure comfort.
Administer medications. 
Continuously ensure patient comfort and promote individualism.

Excellent for hands-on practice that allows you to help patients and promote health. Staffs are helpful and willing to help.
Environment greatly ensures patient safety and comfort.

I am very thankful with Misericordia Hospital Volunteer Office for giving me the chance to be one of their volunteers in the Gift Shop as a cashier/ customer services. I meet a lot of new friends, I learned a lot about working and interacting with my co-workers and customers and most of all  I was able to help and give back to my community

Fantastic opportunity for a summer student interested in a career in medicine or physical activity. Informative and eye-opening in regards to the inner workings of the medical profession. Full time hours and good pay coupled with friendly staff and great management. Awesome experience.

A typical work day is not very structured; usually some type of emergency interrupting planned work. 
In my department morale and discipline was poor.
Workplace culture was dog eat dog.
Management focused on appearances.
Good wages and benefits if you can make a go of it.

Though my time working at the Misericordia Hospital was not as long as I would had liked, I felt they had a great team atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming to new people. I felt that I learned a great deal about the health care system and perhaps areas that need improving.

I worked for this organization over 10 years and enjoyed working with the great team and great leadership. I learnt so much as employee by participating in different activities and consider the organization as one of the best.

There are so many measures of excellence in an employer, but what I've always found most important is the team that management cultivates.  While we have our challenges, we work well together, we learn well together, and we provide incredible life-saving patient care together.

People are cranky and stressed out and management does not know how to manage staff. They try their best but at the end of the day I’m pretty sure Covenant Health does not train managers how to manage nurses effectively. A lot union manager conflict.
