Misericordia Hospital

I enjoyed working as an RN at the Misericordia. I was a much younger person then and I enjoyed the challenges that I faced. While following doctors orders I enjoyed working together as a team member and also enjoyed having my own patient assignment. Working on a deadline was a fun way to challenge myself although sometimes it was stressful.

Bathing the children , feeding them meals , vital signs, meds, treatments. That children are very brave and very tough. It was always busy and sometimes we were spread too thin and kids didn't get the hugs and love they needed.

Hardest part of the job was when we lost one.

Very fast paced. Lots of great people working, however there are the odd people who make work stressful. It is a super busy unit with so much going on. I used to work 6-3pm and honestly I don't even know where the time went. It was that busy. If you like busy environments then this is for you.

Working in a hospital gives a sense of being part of a team that makes a difference in the lives of everyone. It is extremely important to keep the hospital clean and organized. Doctors and nurses rely on you to ensure that patients and visitors are kept safe from disease.

I had a wonderful time working in this fantastic environment. I thoroughly enjoyed working, I learned many skills as a painter. Full of interesting, exciting, and well mannered individuals with fair management for the most part.

people are very friendly and accommodating we have a team work in our place.we help each other.they are very dedicated to work.hardworking.they help each other towards work.we build confidentiality toward patient.

I am currently at the Misericordia Hospital as a student nurse through the University of Alberta. This experience has taught me so much about safe and competent patient care and I am extremely excited to continue with my nursing career.
