I have had the incredible opportunity to work as a Digital Marketing Specialist at Mississauga Convention Centre for the past year, and my journey has been nothing short of exceptional! 

From day one, I felt welcomed and valued. The supportive work environment fostered personal and professional growth, allowing me to thrive in my role. The team at Mississauga Convention Centre is truly the epitome of collaboration and camaraderie.

As a Digital Marketing Specialist, I have been entrusted with numerous exciting and challenging projects. The center's commitment to innovation and staying ahead of digital trends has provided a perfect platform for me to exercise my creativity and expertise. I am proud to have contributed to the success of various marketing campaigns that have garnered attention across multiple channels. 

Serving as a Project Management Intern at MCC has been an exceptional learning and growth experience. The practical exposure, challenging projects, and supportive colleagues have made a significant impact on my career. The company's dedication to nurturing interns and providing them with real responsibilities is truly commendable. I'm leaving MCC with confidence in my abilities and a bright future ahead.

I hold this place in high regard – a daily wellspring of joy and involvement, with an abundance of smiling faces. The work culture and supportive management are dear to me. I've been part of this team for the past two years, and my affection for this job continues to grow.

A typical day at work starts with stress and hesitation to do anything. I don’t believe I learned anything here. This place takes advantage of people and does not care about you at all. They treat their employees horribly. No holiday party, little money for your job, no benefits of any kinda, management lies straight to your face. I could go on. Do not work here. 

set up tables, deal with people, manage workers. learned to talk to all types of people, how to serve people in correct way, to make sure weddings went as planned and how to deal with problems that came up. great management, amazing people to wok with. hardest part was dealing with difficult people. best part was seeing the faces of the happy customers.

unless you are willing to work like a slave for pennies and be daily disrespected then this place is for you. don't stand up for your rights if you want to keep this horrible job.

Would not recommend this position to anyone who wants to make money. I put a lot of effort and labour into this job and felt like I got absolutely nothing out of it.

If you make a mistake you are often called out and scolded in front of dining patrons by upper management.  No one is really happy working there.
Long hours and heavy trays.

Very fast paced and a lot of patience is needed. Also the ability to stand for over 5h is a must and you also need to be able to carry trays of food and dinnerware to and from the back to the tables.

Management is good overall, it is just a part time but it is fun, weekends, working on events, weddings, graduations, etc, free dinner for everyone, everyone have lots of fun and everyone is friendly
