This company has all the classic signs of growing too fast, which has massive effects all the way down. 

Day to day the job was really enjoyable. I enjoyed repairing phones and helping people. Probably the best part of the job, however the company itself has become such a bloated mess that addressing issues and communication up the chain rarely accomplishes anything. In many cases it wasn't even due to a lack of care from management in the middle, they simply have too much on their own plates to handle anything in a timely manner.

The compensation is too low for the amount of knowledge, skill and services we're expected to do. My store was physically very small but extremely busy which caused a lot of issues because we simply did not have enough space to handle the volume of repairs being taken in

- very easy job
- there is some level of technical competency required as you do repair phones.  but its honestly easier than most people would think.
- not very busy, lots of down time.
- there tends to be a fair degree of poor service and product quality standards.  this means you will deal with your fair share of rude customer interactions, or escalations in general.  it is not your fault, but because you represent the company, you have to speak to it.
- this is a great stepping stone for international students for sure. but that is the extent of it.  after that, you can try and move to a lead or supervisor role.  you can try to move to the warehouse (lateral move).  but the growth is very limited.  they company claims otherwise, but you will see quickly that even for a growing medium-sized business, the progress is super slow.  they add more stores, and add more small teams.  but from there not much else happens.  very far and few opportunities for long-term growth.

Working with customers is what you make of it. Some days you can feel super awesome by saving people's data or "lives" stored on the damaged phone. But it's not so awesome when there's no chance of recovery.

You will be trained on how to repair most cell phone brands before working. Also, where to find additional data on repair procedures.

Top level management has their goals set, it's the mid-tier management that is a bit hit or miss. They do plan on opening many stores and finding many great managers is hard to come by. This will be noticeable when communicating between storefronts.

All-in-all a solid place to get started with repairs but not much room for growth in wages. As the company is trying to reduce the price of repairs the techs feel it in their wages.

Working at Mobile Klinik had its pros and cons. The job provided a good opportunity to learn hands-on tech repair skills and customer service experience. The training was decent, and I enjoyed helping customers with their devices. However, the work environment could be a bit stressful, especially during busy hours with limited staffing.

There was sometimes a lack of clear communication from upper management, and advancement opportunities felt limited unless you were in the right location or knew the right people. The expectations were high, but the compensation didn’t always match the workload.

Overall, it’s a decent job if you’re just starting out in tech or want to gain retail experience, but it may not be the best long-term option unless significant changes are made to support growth and improve work-life balance. I’m thankful for what I learned, but I eventually decided to move on.

Good for someone that loves technical hands on work. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Different companies have their own repair process documentation’s that keep getting updated so you have to stay up to date while being bombarded with constant repair requests and sale opportunity work sheets 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It was generally awesome and great work mates that loved their jobs. For those that didn’t and slacked made it harder on everybody. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Get to work, open the till, clean the floors and organize shelves if tempered with. Open store and work on repair requests or intake new customers or work on updated store policies and manuals

There are NO growth opportunities within the organization. The management only promises but never delivers. It is extremely frusting when the management says they appreciate all you do and you are an ideal candidate for the next level but absolutely nothing is done after that. There are also very unfair practices followed. Lots of partiality in the way the Regional Manager treats people who he likes/knows personally. Favoritism is pretty suffocating in this region. All in all, no opportunities for growth are available even if your work is great unless you satisfy the ego of the Regional Manager.

The focus is on making maximum accessories and phones Sales. Employees’ well-being and customer needs are secondary. The regional director absolutely wants to make sales even if it does not meet the customer's need. As for the salary is not competitive. We are often called upon to work alone for long hours. Answering the phone, customer questions and making repairs. Sometimes we are not even able to take our breaks because we are left alone. Engagement level are hitting the floor.
As for training you must rely on online videos, tools are mostly used up. 
Management does care what’s going in the stores, they focus on sales figures and when sales figures are not there, they will ask for reasons why.

It was good until Telus acquired the company.

Started the job with no "real" training at all. They expected you to learn everything by simply watching videos within two weeks. WTF repairing is a very practical job. 

Nobody appreciated you if you only do repair. Management only cared about sales. If you don't hit a specific KPI then be expected to have "coaching" conservation with your boss.

Poor communication in the company, if you are in need of something, don't expect someone would reply your emails. 

It is a okay job if you have a good team. If you want to gain sales or retail experiences I would recommend other places.

- Schedules are never consistent so it’s hard to have a stable income. Some weeks you could work close to 50 hours some weeks could be 37. Schedules aren’t distributed consistently some weeks the schedules will come out the at the end of the week at like 8-9pm. Makes it impossible to set appointments or anything of the sort.
-Pay is barely above minimum with schooling as a technician.
- Benefits are there but they won’t give it to you. Applied for the benefits right after I was allowed to and months passed with no word on the benefits

Great place to work cooperative staff and seniors.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Overall good, but some time you have to more organized and have to remember all accounts customer interactions to perform well.

Good place and you can focus on skills like repairs and sales techniques.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Usually days is having smartphone repairs , selling, receiving shipment and other things overall not much stress.
